  1. Delgado 2 Beltran 2 Wright 1 Reyes 1 Bannister 1 Sanchez 1 Heilman 1 Bradford 1
  2. Yancy said for someone to start it. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/boxscore?gid=260405121 Yancy Says: "Please award up to TEN points, no more than SIX to any one player. (Just list last names and points awarded please! Please place any comments BELOW your votes, not on the same line. Thanks!)"
  3. We've all seen the strength of schedule, this isn't the kind of game we can afford to lose (one in which we led 4-0 after 3 and 4-3 after 8), it's going to be another long summer if the Mets don't fatten up on the April schedule.
  4. I don't like Floyd swinging without a strike on him with this score.
  5. ="Edgy DC"]]Let that be the FINAL pitch Julio throws in a Met uni! Not going to happen so I think we need new hopes. I think I did just hear the sound of Bradford passing him on the depth chart. it is my hope that Bradford AND Bell will pass Julio by month's end and for good.
  6. Julio sucks, there is no reason this piece of shit should ever pitch a meaningful inning.
  7. Wagner sucks! Why can't anyone close in Queens?
  8. Gwreck wrote: I was thinking we'd have seen Julio in this inning. maybe if the lead was still 4 runs. I'd never want to trust Julio with a 1-run lead.

According to statistics the ideal league is 12 teams. 9 teams is mind-bogglingly shallow for a mixed league. 12 is the bear minimum i'd want in a mixed league. i am in a 12 team NL-only league right now that uses the standard 23 starting players, thats depth.
  10. Somebody call the police... ...Andy Pettite is getting raped by the Marlins
  11. should we start Camron/Nady, Seo/Sanchez, and Benson/Julio threads or just use 1?

are we really going to have to play this game again? S-T-E-M has the best record!
  13. *62 were you watching the same game as us? Beltran's throw was an ordinary everyday throw, Vidro just happened to be trying to stretch a single where he didn't have much of a shot.
  14. lets get him for Iriki while his value is at its lowest.
  15. i think it is fair. he shouldn't lose his streak just because the season ended on him. if anything it makes it more difficult on him to continue the streak after months off, he could have been in a real groove last september that won't carry over.
  16. Glavine 4 Wright 2 Nady 2 LoDuca 1 Floyd .5 Wagner .5 Sorry Beltran but your 0-for cancels out any points you had gotten for the assist, its not like it was some great amazing throw. LoDuca's point is for his hitting, he dropped the ball so maybe the umpire should get a point for hat defensive play, i will still reward Floyd though. Wagner half point for the save, Glavine with a big start and 2 hits. Wright and Nady get 2 each for the big hits.
  17. good first game. i was happy to see heilman for 2 innings not just one as that was a strategy i pushed hard (if he had to be in the bullpen at all.)

    ZERO!

damnit chuck you beat me to the airplane that i've been plannin on posting since last night.

  20. 89-74 (lose a wild-card game)
  21. i said probably because i didnt feel like arguing, but if you want to hear it fine, Sanchez is better than Bell. Period. I'll still give them a pass on Heilman because they're right, he shouldnt be a reliever with the current roster.
  22. They don't see Heilman as a reliever so he doesn't count. Duaner Sanchez is probably better than Bell.
  23. ]Baseball Prospectus Knocks Mets Management... Bret Sabermetric will be renewing his subscription now. As far as the substance of the article goes... i disagree with the # of runs they say we'll score but i don't think this team is much better than last year. In january we looked alot better but then we trade Seo and Benson and now we're using Bannister in the 2nd game of the season while Pedro's injury is a bigger questionmark than we thought it would be at the end of last year. I think we'll win 88-89 games, the way that luck goes a projections of 84 isn't far off either.
