  1. Glavine 4 Delgado 3 Wright 2 LoDuca .5 Beltran .5
  2. Julio has progressed to the point where getting rid of him is no longer "addition by subtraction" but he's still got BB and HR issues and those are both huge problems for trusting someone in close games. I'm fine with him in his present role but he shouldn't be moving up the depth chart yet.
  3. ]Morgan also implied that if Matsui was a more experienced second-baseman, he could have turned the DP on Saturday to end the game. I've been over every play in that inning a million times, especially that one. There was nothing Reyes or Matsui could have done to get the out. There were no hesitations, double-clutches, nothing you can second-guess. I have no idea how Morgan can just throw that out there and not justify his position. Morgan is an idiot and should long ago have been fired but A) he's a former all-star and he's black and likes to talk about how he's black and loved playing for a black manager, etc. so he won't get fired. as for the play i quoted above there was no way to turn a DP there, but i thought Reyes might have been better off throwing home.
  4. stupid interleague games screw up the average scored/allowed
  5. i'm sure someone has the stats but i'm not really sure where to look so i just mentioned it for anyone else who cares to check it out. like i said, don't take this to be fact until someone finds the stats.
  6. ="SteveJRogers"] If you walk the leadoff guy he will ALWAYS endup scoring i've heard before that he is more likely to score than a leadoff single is, but i'm not sure where i heard it so don't take this as fact or anything.
  7. just to avoid this getting archived i'll give a quick update- Matsui (through may 21st, 101 AB, 109 PA)- .238/.274/.317
  8. i kinda found it annoying, i was there the game they did "senor Met", how lame is that? i dont think i've heard the rap song, i still find lazy mary annoying though, do take me out to the ball game and then play ball!
  9. thats not suprising. pedro has had some BS no-decisions, gonzalez in his 1 start didnt deserve a win, lima was rightfully awarded 3 losses, traschel hit bad luck twice in a rain shortened loss and another lack of support loss.
  10. thank god for two out of three, this shoulda been a sweeeeep :/
  11. Cairo is being a pest... fouls off 2 straight on 2-2.
  12. he left the game because of an organization "rule" that a pitcher won't throw more than 40 pitches in an inning no matter what, no way of knowing what would have happened.
  13. Six- Four - Threeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
  14. sac fly makes it 4-3 with 1-out.
  15. fuckin bunt, Sanchez gotta get an out there
  16. Willets Point wrote: Oh good, we're leading. Now lets see what heartbreaking way the Mets find to lose. this is the attitude we all need to try and lose! on edit- i'm duke snyder! another retread the mets never should have brought in...
  17. would we be bashing willie if heilman hadnt gotten out of that?
  18. Colter Bean?? hahhaahaha
  19. the Mets finally getting some love from an umpire?
  20. yay for double-kaboom
  21. Castro had NO SHOT at Cairo at either 2nd or 3rd, his jump off of Julio was just obscene.

    Soler up!

Bret- the reason Soler started off in the minors is because he missed almost all of last year with visa problem, the guy had thrown something like 20 innings in the past 2 years since fleeing cuba, you dont take a guy after such a long layoff and bring him right up.
  23. ]The great job he did over the winter was getting Delgado in trade I don't look at this as a good trade as much as a "see i can spend fred's money" move. The cameron trade is looking good so far despite all the negative reaction. I still don't like it, but Nady has been good.
