1-2-3 go the Braves, i've missed Joe Smith pitching.
-
damn. Wright grounds out to end it, I know the Mets got another run after the whole incident, but they really let the Braves off the hook there, gotta take advantage of these situations and tie the game up.
-
Castillo bring one home on a groundout... lets go Wright!
-
oh my god they are reversing the call??? i guess they'll move everyone up one base, even though pagan would clearly have s cored as well, still its better than the blown call!
-
THAT BALL WAS NOT CAUGHT, IT WAS FUCKING TRAPPED!!!!
-
Clark HBP it jose jose jose with the bases loaded!!
-
I know its only the 5th inning but pulling Maine for the punch-hitter here is the right move. 2nd and 3rd 1 out for Brady Clark!
-
Prado completely screw up an easy turn on the double-play ball, the mets tie it at 1.

Maine is getting squeezed big time.

While we're waitig to see if we play today, lets see if anyone can answer this question (courtesy of This Week in Baseball, don't answer if you were watching.) Ryan Zimmerman opened the Nationals' new park with a walk-off homerun. When was the last walkoff homerun at the first game in a new stadium and who hit it?
-
Anyone hear an Atlanta weather report? Are we playing today?

Shea may be gone next year, but William Shea will live on

i don't like it. have a plaque, have a sign, have anything BUT a jersey with a number on it. retired jerseys with numbers should only be for players who wore that number. -
ex-Met Mike Jacobs hit a walkoff HR for the Marlins to beat Pittsburgh tonight.
-
Nice to see one of the Yankee hot shots get hammered early.
-
wow really? i figured they'd make you pay more for it

="soupcan"]Anybody know if EI is available for free on Cablevision? I've been looking but can't find it. Any clue as to what channel(s)? what do you think?

THIS GAME HAS BEEN CANCELLED, DOUBLEHEADER IN MAY
-
Maybe Maine and Hudson can do their best impersonations of vintage Maddux and we can get through 6 (with a Mets lead) in an hour and a half. Cox on WFAN now saying "a rainout wouldn't hurt us" and I have to believe the Braves organization knows that and will call this game.
-
they're talking rain and tornado warnings on the radio. they also mentioned that the braves have really used their bullpen alot so far and could use the night off, and its their decision until the game actually starts.

THIS GAME HAS BEEN CANCELLED, DOUBLEHEADER IN MAY ] People down in ATL are saying its pouring rain and the game may not be played. Pitching NYM: John Maine (1st start of the year) ATL: Tim Hudson (0-0, 2.57 ERA) For the Mets: SS Reyes 2B Castillo 3B Wright CF Beltran 1B Delgado RF Church LF Pagan C Schneider P Maine For The Braves: SS Escobar CF Kotsay 3B Jones 1B Texeira C McCann RF Francoeur LF Diaz 2B Prado P Hudson edit- i'm disgusted by the Daily News/Yankees ads on WFAN during the Mets broadcast (well, between steve summers and the mets)

I don't know if they're actually increasing in number or if I'm just seeing them more but it's pretty cool. They're usually harmless to humans and pretty to watch. Hawks are awesome, there was one on my college campus in albany that people sighted occassionally. Our city needs more hawks, they eat obnoxious rodents and have the added benefit of scaring wusses.

most likely none. The News and The Post are both very good about letting opinions they don't like be voiced in their letters to the editor section, but they don't really respond to them.
