="Benjamin Grimm"]="SteveJRogers"]Try getting there early so you can get a space underneath the Whitestone Expressway under Northern Blvd. Do they still allow that? (I had heard that they didn't.) I used to do that all the time when I was a Sunday season ticket holder and lived on Long Island. I'd make a left turn out of my parking spot, a right on Main Street and that would lead me right to the LIE. i don't know which highway/overpass is which but the last few years the mets (presumably with the blessing of the city) have been charging for parking under the highways closest to shea.
i'm headed to shea thursday night, anyone know what the parking situation is this year? public transportation just isn't going to cut it from staten island to flushing.
the real problem wit hthis "reveal the number" thing is that, unlike the orioles with ripken's streak, we aren't counting up towards a good thing but down towards a bad one.
I was out all day maybe someone can explain this to me, why does a pitcher go 5 scoreless innings, throw only 68 pitches, allow only 3 baserunners, and get yanked from the game? the pitcher is greg maddux for SD against LA today.
And Jason Kendall is hitting .452 while Prince Fielder is homerless... repeat after me.. "its only the 2nd week of april, its only the 2nd week of april, its only..."
A great throw by Schneider, I'll keep ripping on his weak stick but he does more than get the job done on defense. Santana K's Hardy, his 6th strikeout, and the inning is over without big damage.

Johan recovers! he has range, makes spectacular plays, and plays the bunt well. the occassional throwing error is easy to remember, the ball that a guy doesnt get to because he isn't quick enough isn't. ]Anyword if this is a short term or season ending Reyes hammy thing its minor. you have extreme negativity issues.

Pagan scores on a sac fly in foul territory by Wright. Is it the "right" move to catch the ball there? With Wright at the plate and early in the game it probably was, but I can conceive of situations (other than the winning run on 3rd of course) where i'd want to drop that ball.
Come on guys, nobody posted this yet? Brew Crew: Weeks 2B Kapler CF Fielder 1B Braun LF Hall 3B Hart RF Hardy SS Sheets P Kendall C Mets: Pagan LF Castillo 2B Wright 3B Beltran CF Delgado 1B Church RF Easley SS Schneider C Santana P The Mets should follow Milwaukee's example and hit Santana ahead of the catcher!
comparisons are not unfair as long as your using stats like OPS+ that account for the league you are playing in. other sports, to my knowledge, don't have such statistics to compare players across eras, so if scoring in the NBA was lower in the 1970's there's no available fair way to compare a 70's player's scoring to lebron james.
