]MiniKnight yelled out, "Thank You Ryan Zimmerman!" I immediately chastised him oh come on, that is NOTHING.

Rotoworld says: ]New York Newsday reports that Orlando Hernandez (foot) is "practically back to square one" and will have to remain in a walking boot for at least two more weeks.

perhaps i should follow a german baseball team, they are likely to send me merchandise unlike the assholes at israel baseball league who took my money last year with no hat ever delivered.

Vintage Maddux on display tonight as he went 7 shutout innings on only 75 pitches without walking a batter. Trevor Hoffman blew it in the 9th allowing a HR to Bengie Molina, they are tied in the 12th

With regard to Santana i don't need the pitcher with the gigantic salary sliding into 3rd going for a triple. With regard to church, i didnt see the play, they didnt mention it on the radio, at least last year they were usually good enough about mentioning things like "he should have been on 2nd" but i dont know yet with newbie hagan

woohoo, a win!

Unbalanced schedule? (split from Schaefer business)
nymr83 replied to Fman99's topic in New York Mets Talk
well how many of the 14 DHs are aging veterans who would otherwise not have a job? I see Thomas and probably Thome. How many of the 30 extra major leaguers would be current union members who are presently either retired or languishing at AAA? -
Detroit has 18 runs against texas, its only the 6th inning.

="Triple Dee"]Where is Jose V? ="Rotoword on April 15th"]Jose Valentin's agent estimates that he is two to four weeks away from playing in minor league games. It's some encouraging news regarding the disks that are pinching a nerve in Valentin's neck. The 38-year-old was contemplating retirement if the injury needed surgery.

As for the unbalanced schedule i don't really like it as presently implemented. The Giants and Cardinals are already done for the year!! The Mets and Cubs only play 6 times! The Mets won't see Wrigley again this year! i'd eliminate interleague play, a silly diversion that has run its course, and do what yancy proposed above -

i dont think expanding rosters is good in itself but i wouldnt care if that was the compromise to eliminate the DH. -
Santana hits the hardest Met ball of the last 3 games with a big double, his 3rd of the year.
-
a ball hit off the pitcher's glove scores a run

Pagan steals 2nd. Pagan steals 3rd.

its now 4-2 Mets thanks to another bad play by the nats (they're calling this one a hit)
-
so willie is willing to "diss" delgado by moving him down to 6th but is unwilling to do the same by continuing the successful experiment of putting Castillo 8th?

AG/DC wrote: Who? Who? Who? Who? Who? you're joking right? in any case they are indeed loaded but two of those guys languish at AAA (thanks alot dusty) while a 3rd was only recently elevated to starting over hatteberg. firing the guys after a 9-12 start is pretty silly.

congrats on striking out 10 tonight, getting to 3,000, giving up only 1 run, and still taking the loss. thats a braves milestone i can get behind.
