And i think you've gotta get on willie a bit too, if the bullpen is really burnt and the game is getting out of hand maybe its time to tell ollie to take one for the team and keep going?

    Speaking of the Zito bullet dodged, this just in from CBS: ]News: Barry Zito was demoted to the bullpen Monday by the San Francisco Giants, who hope the former ace can correct his problems by working in relief. Zito, who only 16 months ago signed a $126 million, seven-year contract with the Giants to lead their rotation, was informed of the move in a meeting with manager Bruce Bochy. The left-hander has lost his first six starts this season and has a 7.53 ERA that jumped considerably after Zito was tagged for eight earned runs in a 10-1 loss Sunday to Cincinnati. "We'll watch and see how things go," Bochy told MLB.com. "Right now, we're going to leave it at that, that he's going to be helping us in the bullpen." Recently recalled Patrick Misch will slide into the rotation while Zito is in the bullpen and Kevin Correia is out with a strained oblique.

    Blalock went down for a month. I'm willing to Trade Kemp for a thirdbaseman that i consider equal to him. i'll of course look at offers for other players as well.

    the asshole chant happened at shea this year when i was there, it was the 14 inning game and there was a big botched call at 3rd base. Angel deserves more than just an "asshole" chant. i think "moth-er-fuck-er" ::clap clap, clap clap clap:: would work well.

    we could make the ballpark like a chatroom with a profanity filter... section 12 no alcohol, section 14 no cursing, section 16...

    hookers, booze, bribes... likely he uses it to pay office expenses, meals, and other things that are generally done in cash. or maybe he just reports the income and lets the chips fall where they will for the other guy.

    being foul-mouthed can be part of the fun. chanting "asshole" at an umpire for a blown out/safe call is great

    ]It's sometimes a wonder that anyone opts to play in New York. the richest teams in every sport as well as lots of advertising contracts if you are any good, a level of fame you won't achieve playing in the mid-west, millions of fans loving you when things do go right, etc. you can trade that off with being held to a higher standard by the fans and having the fans demonstrate their displeasure with you. go ahead, play for the twinkies or the pirates, you'll make less money, be signed for less years, won't appear in Nike commercials, won't be on the cover of video games even if you have a near-mvp season, etc. but at least you wont get booed.
