  1. http://www.sporcle.com/games/mitchellreport.php theres a quiz on who is named in the mitchell report on steroids lol
  2. I should have had one more, but the quiz refused to accept The Amazing Stevie Jeets as a correct answer for Steve Rogers. I feel I was robbed. I entered "Derek Jeter's biggest fan" but it wouldn't accept it.
  3. they have a presidents one (i missed only Hayes) and a sports teams one with all 4 major sports, the problem there is naming them all in time, i got through the NFL and MLB and then started entering random NBA/NHL teams, ended up 25 teams short, mostly from the nhl.

  5. i'm not really looking forward to whatever "new age" garbage they've come out with now. i'd like to see 80's style home jerseys (with the stripe on the shoulder) and solid gray road jerseys only.
  6. sympathy for scalpers? thats about as likely as me showing sympathy for pedophile film makers evading prosecution by hiding in europe.
  7. With Wright his playing time was nearly the same i wouldn't call a 16 game and 117 PA dropoff "nearly the same", he had alot less opportunities than last year even as he produced less per chance.
  8. i'd just like to share my strong dislike for head to head leagues because i'm 1-3 through week 4 of the nfl season with the SECOND HIGHEST POINT TOTAL in a 12 team league, two weeks in a row i scored the 2nd most points only to get matched up with the only guy who scored more.
  9. Williams, the last player to hit over .400 in a season, died in 2002 at age 83 and had his remains sent to Alcor for cryogenic storage in the hope that future generations would develop the technology to revive him. wouldn't these future generations presumably need the whole body? Williams must have watched Futurama a few too many times, all hail Nixon's head!
  10. whenever you do a historical league (anything that starts before the current year) theres an option somewhere 'under the hood' to have players perform roughly analogous to how they did historically (in a career sense, not year by year) or to develop as randomly as fictional players.
  11. HANLEY RAMIREZ has no walk-off hits?? thats kind of a shocker
  12. I'm a bit concerned that Ike Davis is going to play a full minor league season, then play baseball in europe(??), and then the AFL, before reporting to camp again in february. tell him fuck europe.
  13. Heyman isn't "another" idiot, he's the original.
  14. I was in Philly today, Wright's homer shut them all up and the place was like a tomb. it was great.
  15. the farmhouse scene was indeed well done, but it set the scene for a better or just more serious movie and then he didnt deliver. the bar scene was also good. but that was it.
  16. careful with the fantasy talk, i hear edgy's head might explode...
  17. this is what i think of the mets right now...
  18. Baseball is good as is, and as such any changes i'd make would be minor. -eliminate interleague play, or at least balance it the way the NFL does, playing 6 games against the Yankees every year while the Nationals get six with Baltimore and the Marlins get six with the Rays is bullshit. -two divisions in each league (8/8 in the NL, 7/7 in the AL) helps cut down on crappy teams winning weak divisions and creates another wild card without adding a playoff team. instead of the Tigers getting in against a weak division schedule the Red Sox and Rangers could both make it this year. Philly potentially missing out to St Louis, LA, Colorado, and San Francisco would be awesome too. one big division in each league would be fine too. -the all-star game is an exhibition game, treat it as such and don't award homefield based on it.
  19. i wasnt very awake when i wrote that, i meant to say connery not clooney
  20. RealityChuck wrote: And Bond is a real prick. He uses his best friend -- the only one who was willing to go out on a limb for him -- as a human shield. Is that how Bond says "thanks"? and thats not the Bond I know, Brosnan's character or Clooney's aren't doing something like that.
