  1. He completely lost that in the sun, looked like he was auditioning to be part of the Mets defense
  2. Flores out of the long slump?
  3. Plawecki leads the league in pitches outside the strike zone framed for a strike and hasn't plaayed the whole year. Hidden value there. Mets getting some dinks in here, a whole weeks worth of scoring this inning!
  4. Ceetar wrote: I'm sticking to them offering him the QO and him walking, as EVERY free agent does. Or he learns the lesson of Stephen Drew and accepts it? The problem is unless you are a great player most teams won't sign you with the draft pick attached. Unless you are the Mets, then you sign Cuddyer who already looks like a mistake. I don't think Murphy, with the pick attached, is worth more than the $15 million offer. But for the Mets the 1-year nature of that contract could be appealing even if its more per year than he would get on the market.
  5. yeah, the problem with upgrading SS is that there isnt really a guy out there who is a clear upgrade on Wilmer Flores assuming the Mets "fully healthy" infield alignment of 3B Wright SS Flores 2B Murphy 1B Duda. I'm not even sure there is a Tejada upgrade that is available in-season at a reasonable cost.

Sometimes two, if deGrom, Syndergaard, or Matz is out there. someone is going to take offense to be ommitted from your list. [fimg=600]https://thenypost.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/colon2.jpg[/fimg]
  8. Interesting that Curtis has 1.9 and has had most of our PAs in RF, but Baseball Reference list the Mets with .9 WAR in RF this year? http://www.baseball-reference.com/leagues/team_compare.cgi?lg=MLB&year=2015 I'm think there is something I'm missing here
  9. WHYYYY is Noah out after only 89 pitches?
  10. Ashie62 wrote: No he wont, but a whole generation of steroid guys are elgible. but the punishment for steroid use was never clearly spelled out until recently. gamblers knew or should have known what they were getting themselves into
  11. Edgy MD wrote: Yeah we may be behind Philadelphia in fanbase literacy, but evidence is clear that Joelmon totally moved the needle on his own. I don't know if he defected along with Salamander Q, but last I saw, he was posting at Sons of Sam Horn. Sal is a red sox frontrunner now?
  12. TERRIBLE defense by both Tejada and Flores there. but I would leave deGrom in to try and get the double play here, they haven't hit the ball hard.
  13. Hits a guy with a pitch to lead off the inning. yeah! you teach him to lean over that plate! thats YOUR plate frenchy! edit - i missed the HR, so it was retaliation! even better!
  14. Frayed Knot wrote: Another comparison: Derek Jeter (career): AB = 11,195 HRs = 260; AB w/Bases Loaded = 262; HRs w/Bases Loaded = 1 Wilmer Flores (career): AB = 568; HRs = 17; AB w/Bases Loaded = 24; HRs w/Bases Loaded = 2 I know this comparison says nothing of import whatsoever, but I just enjoy pointing it out. WHO IS MORE CLUTCH???
  15. Jeff Francoeur pitching for Philadelphia Nolan Reimold Strike (looking), Strike (looking), Strike (looking), Reimold struck out looking Chris Parmelee Ball, Ball, Ball, Strike (looking), Strike (looking), Foul, Parmelee grounded out to first Steve Pearce Strike (looking), Ball, Ball, Strike (looking), Foul, Pearce lined out to shortstop wow, 3 pitch strikeout all looking, the 2nd guy looks at 5 pitches before finally swinging, same with the 3rd guy... a fucking position player is pitching and all you want to do is watch?? swing away fools!
  16. getting blown the fuck out by baltimore. i wish this was on TV 1 inniung, 0 hits, 0 runs, 0 walks, and a strikeout!
  17. The Mets need to spend money but need to be chastised for spending money on the 2nd best position player the farm system ever produced. Got it.
  18. SHIFT THAT MOTHERFUKERS!
  19. Well, fucky Fuck fuck
  20. I am thankful to not be so jaded or cynical that I have to spend my time beating a dead horse about Bernie Madoff and the FIRST PLACE NEW YORK METS finances in the middle of the FIRST PLACE METS season. Being Megdal is probably even more miserable than reading him. Save this garbage for November.
  21. We interrupt tonight's game with another update from Curtis, currently 2 for 3 with a walk and a double
  22. d'Kong76 wrote: Never struck me that he was hated. Yeah. I didn't like the signing, but I don't dislike the player. Oliver Perez got booed loudly last night when he came in from the bullpen. In his home stadium. By fans of the visiting team 2500 miles from home. That's hate for a player!
  23. Curtis sucks so bad he has to fall behind 0-2 even when he draws a walk!
  24. Why would you want to give up an out and open 1st base up for Reed to walk the lefty to face the lesser hitter righty? It's just bad all around.
