    I hate artificial quirks. The older stadiums were quirky because they had to squeeze into a city block, or because they were playing in an arena designed for another sport. In these new stadiums the quirks are like windmills on a miniature golf course. They're just stupid.

    Seeing the name of Humberto Quintero reminds me that the Mets, in their 50th season, still have never had a player whose last name starts with the letter Q.

    I don't think they clash. Can black clash with anything? Can white clash with anything? I prefer the black-and-blue cap to the all-black one, but the classic blue is where it's at. And I have more of an objection to the home blacks than the road blacks.
