  1. G-Fafif awarded 10.5 points, and his votes were prorated: wright 3.81 dickey 2.38 torres 1.9 tejada 1.43 davis 0.48
  2. No snarky votes, please! They just make it more likely that there will be an error in the tallying. Davis 2 Parnell 1 Wright 2 Young 4
  3. Why do they do Star Wars night anyway? When is it going to be F-Troop night?
  4. I can see from the lower and lower vote counts that, understandably, the Mets miserable performance since the All-Star break has most of us weary of Schaefer voting, but I'm going to continue this through the end of the season anyway. The three games played against the Dodgers over the weekend will close on Wednesday morning. Schaefer POTG 7/20/12 - Dodgers 7, Mets 6 Schaefer POTG, 7/21/2012: Dodgers 8 Mets 5 Schaefer POTG 7/22/12 - Dodgers 8, Mets 3 (12 Innings)
  5. Murphy 2 Niese 3.5 Parnell 1.5 Thole 1 Wright 1
  6. He certainly wouldn't be so beloved that he'd be impossible to get rid of. Is there a history of fans loving and cherishing local guys with ERA's of 8 or above? That's pretty much what you're predicting.
  7. I once pretended to like him, in order to be polite to three teenage girls on a bus in Kyoto.
  8. They might as well kick into sell mode right now, as far as I'm concerned.
  9. I like 36. He seems more like a 40 to me, but I think that's taken. 39 would be good too, if available.
  10. Voting for last Thursday's win (win? they do that???) over Washington will close on Tuesday morning. Schaefer POTG 7/19/12 - Mets 9, Nationals 5
  11. RRamirez or ERamirez.
  12. I guess nobody's watching the game today. (I'm not either.) I just checked the score online, though. Scoreless, Mets batting in the bottom of the third. So far they've had one single by Murphy.
  13. Bay 1 Cedeno 2 Edgin 1.5 Hairston 2 Murphy 1

  17. How young Nucky was!
  18. I think that it was because the Mets finally got a player whose last name started with a Q that they were able to break the no-hitter jinx.
  19. I split the discussion of the shootings this morning in Colorado into a new thread in the Non Baseball Forum.
  20. Yeah, second prize sucks. Tickets to a game in North Dakota, but you have to get there on your own.
  21. Even with the horrendous start to his season, I think Ike has a much bigger upside than Duda. (I haven't checked out their backsides, but that's another story anyway.)
  22. soupcan wrote: I'd also think that any Met fan worth his salt could recognize a Seaver sig pretty damn quickly. I guess I'm not worth my salt, because I thought it was Juil Fewer. How would I know what Tom Seaver's autograph looks like? It's been years since I've scrutinized his 1971 baseball card.
  23. Voting for Tuesday night's loss to the Nationals will close some time over the weekend, perhaps as early as Saturday morning. If you still have votes to cast, please try to do so today. Schaefer POTG, 07/18/12 Washington 4, Mets 3
