So far, this experiment seems to be working. Last year, the average number of votes per game hit an all-time low of 6.9753. As we can see, each season (with the exception of 2011) had a lower average than the preceding season. 2016, however, is currently on pace to have our best participation ever. [list:1jpwaj73]2006 13.1914 2007 12.5988 2008 10.8025 2009 10.3086 2010 9.1420 2011 10.3704 2012 8.0617 2013 7.9074 2014 7.3148 2015 6.9753 2016 13.2142[/list:u:1jpwaj73] The flip side of this, though, is that April is typically higher than the season average. I think that some voters stop voting once they miss a game or two and realize that they won't have a perfect voting record. Of course, that's not necessary. Infrequent voters are as welcome as the regulars. Here are the April averages since 2006: [list:1jpwaj73]2006 21.2917 2007 14.5000 2008 13.4000 2009 16.6667 2010 12.5652 2011 12.2963 2012 11.5652 2013 11.3600 2014 9.5600 2015 9.7391 2016 13.2142[/list:u:1jpwaj73] While this isn't shaping up to be our best April ever, it's looking like it has a chance to be the best April in the last seven years. Thanks to everyone who's been playing along!
