  1. Is that some kind of newfangled shift?
  2. I don't know what most fans think, but I really don't care if a player talks to the press all of the time, part of the time, or none of the time. I remember when the Mets got Carlos Delgado, he came with the reputation of being a jerk. But it seemed like he was a great teammate, from what I could tell. His "reputation" came from a low tolerance for reporters, which should matter to nobody but reporters.
  3. Ultimate disrespect: Getting the first name of the Mets de facto starting catcher wrong!
  4. Hopefully none of them are naked.
  5. Yeah, I don't really see any downside to Loney at this point. I know the official word is that it will be Wilmer, but they can't say it will be Loney because he's still a Padre.
  6. Maybe we should post social media photos of his wife as an incentive!
  7. Wait, so he's playing for a Padres farm team, but he can opt for free agency? The Mets can just sign him, without having to send any players or money to San Diego?
  8. I'm on Team Felicity.
  9. I think that when it's Campbell's turn to bat, the Mets should sent Yoenis Cespedes to the plate wearing an Eric Campbell wig. Who knows? They might get away with it!
  10. This would be a great game to win, because it seems that everything is stacked against the Mets.
  11. Another reminder... please don't vote twice for the same game! If you see your name listed in the voting results, that means you've already voted! Thanks!
  12. Looks like Mr. Fafif will have to update this thread.
  13. Wow. And that team with that awful lineup won the NL pennant!
  14. Wow! It's an infinity rope, and it's his projected mid-June ERA!
  15. soupcan wrote: As long as he is physically fine they have to keep throwing him out there. At least for a while longer, anyway. If it's mid-June and his ERA is up to 8*, they'll have to look for alternatives. Nobody gets an infinite amount of rope. (*Not expecting that to happen, by the way.)
  16. I was curious, so I checked to see if Curtis Granderson has ever played first base in the majors or minors. He hasn't.
  17. Cast your vote!
  18. Frank never has anything good to say about anything.
  19. Zvon wrote: Is anyone complaining? I know I normally have a problem if anyone changes what I type on the internet by any means, but this is KABOOM!=kaBOOM! I have no problem with it. If it stays, I'll have to find a way around it. Maybe I'll use home-run instead.
  20. A new strike zone could be on baseball's horizon and the old-fashioned intentional walk could be a thing of the past after both were agreed to by the competition committee at Major League Baseball's owners meetings this week, sources said. Sources: Competition committee agrees to changes to strike zone, intentional walks
  21. Voting for all games played through May 15 will close on Monday, May 30, some time after 7 a.m.
  22. The other option I see is to bring up your friend T.J. Rivera to play first base. He's played nine games there at Vegas this year.
