  1. Yeah, the title made me think of Matt Damon and his Martian "shit potatoes".
  2. LAST CALL! All remaining games from the month of June will close on Thursday morning. If there are any games that you still intend to vote on, please try to do so over the next couple of days. Also, I will be leaving on vacation this week. I'll be returning on July 24, so we're going to get a little backed up for about a week after the All-Star Break. If you like voting while the memory of the game is still fresh, please record your votes offline somewhere so that you can post them after I get caught up on box scores after my return.

  4. Zvon's blog hasn't been updated since April 30. I hope he's okay.
  5. Does the All-Star Game still determine World Series home field advantage? Or did they do away with that silliness? I seem to think that's been eliminated, but I'm not sure.
  6. Confession: I haven't seen a single moment of any Mets game since they left for California. So this break isn't going to have much of an effect on me.

  8. Voting for all games played between June 19 and June 30 will close on Thursday, July 13. If you're on the list below with a 11 next to your name, you're all caught up on the games that are about to close. If not, and if you're so inclined, please try to get your votes in over the next week. Ashie62 11 Benjamin Grimm 11 TMF 11 G-Fafif 11 Lunch 8 FK 5 OhSheaCanKC 4
  9. Conforto expects to be able to play by then, but if he can't, and the league wants to replace him with a position player instead of a pitcher, then Jay Bruce is a potential choice.
  10. Cast your vote!
  11. Cast your vote! Meanwhile, the New York Post shameless tries to court Tabloid Cover Derby votes by using a variant of a CPF catchword:
