  1. I got eight of nine. I missed on the Texas Gold Glove. I considered Oddibe McDowell, Toby Harrah, and Ivan Rodriguez. I went with McDowell, but of the three, Rodriquez was the only correct answer. 2. Got only six this time. I should have thought of Javier Baez for Cubs/Tigers. 3. I had to settle for an eight today. For my ninth square, Royals/Indians, I was thinking Paul Byrd but went with Darrell Porter instead. Byrd would have been a correct choice, and would have given me my fifth Immaculate Grid. I suppose a lot of guesses went to Bob Gibson, who "only" won 251 games.
  4. =dgwphotography post_id=131620 time=1689340101 user_id=78] PIT/CIN - Dave Parker
  5. I got a seven this time. I incorrectly guessed Clint Hurdle as a Pirate/Red. One other wrong guess that I've already forgotten! 6. That's how I am with LaTroy Hawkins.
  7. I'm generally quite pleased to get nine of nine. I've played every day for a few weeks now, and I've only gotten all nine squares four times. But I did take an extra sense of pride in getting that Rarity Score of 5 that one time. It's a terrific puzzle. I wish I had thought of it!
  8. =batmagadanleadoff post_id=131563 time=1689266519 user_id=68] I guess now that BBRef acquired this game, we won't be seeing too many pictureless players.
  9. I think that's the healthy way to look at it. I'm more or less where you are.
  10. I'm not one to wallow in Mets angst. It's great when they win but "oh well" when they don't. I'm not interested in anything that furthers the "tortured fanbase" narrative.
  11. Seven of nine today. For some reason, I thought Alan Trammell had been a Padre. Tigers/Rockies: Howard Johnson 0.8% Tigers/Padres: -- Tigers/500HR: Gary Sheffield 8% (I wasn't sure of Hank Greenberg's numbers, nor Al Kaline's) A's/Rockies: -- A's/Padres: Rollie Fingers 4% A's/500HR: Reggie Jackson 20% Giants/Rockies: LaTroy Hawkins 2% Giants/Padres: Willie McCovey 5% Giants/500HR: Willie Mays 24%
  12. Yeah, I'm not interested in the game at all either, but I'm not a hater. And I don't think I missed anything. I could have watched, but no matter how exciting the game may have been, I would have been bored. I can't sit through a sporting event if I don't care about the outcome.
  13. I just wish they were sponsored by "Roach Motel" instead.

  20. If each row and each column was headed with the TB logo, and I had to name nine distinct Tampa Bay Rays, I don't think I could do it.
  21. I only got six today. Whenever I see the Tampa Bay logo, I know I'm in trouble. I missed the entire second column. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: THERE WILL BE TWO PUZZLES TODAY. 23. Meanwhile, I was right! I found this old photo of Doug DeCinces: https://dxbhsrqyrr690.cloudfront.net/sidearm.nextgen.sites/okstate.com/images/2022/6/3/McLean_vs_Missouri_State.jpg>
  24. Does he look like Doug DeCinces? I'm not really sure I remember what Doug DeCinces looked like but as soon as I saw that photo I thought of Doug DeCinces.
