Now Schoeneweis is out-the-game. He gets the first out and here comes Joe Smith. Smith will be due to bat third in the bottom of the inning. Who's left in the pen? Burgos. Sele. Anyone else?
Wright walks. Hopefully Moises ends it here, but if he gets out, I wonder if he gets double-switched out of the game since Endy is currently in the lineup.
I had mentally resigned myself to a loss and was stunned when Easley hit that homer. Now Beltran is batting with Lo Duca the winning run on first. Vanis takee!
Three-run homer for Valentin. Until Green's homer on Friday night against Atlanta, I had not seen a Met hit a home run. (They always homered when I was away from the TV.) Now I've seen two by Green and one by Valentin. (Hey! Their names rhyme!)
Who's doing all this ranting? WFAN callers? I haven't heard anything, but I haven't been listening to the FAN and I haven't been reading any forums other than this one.
If she didn't before, she probably does now. I know I love that cat more than I love Joe Petcka. (The first syllable of his last name is kind of ironic, huh?)
Last year I went to Shea twice. Both times I parked on First Avenue in Manhattan, where the parking isn't quite so expensive and then got on the 7 train at Grand Central. Depending on where you're coming from, of course, that may not work for you.
Voting for the second win over the Marlins will close on Tuesday morning: Thursday's game: http://cybermessageboard.ehost.com/getalife/viewtopic.php?t=6141 On Wednesday I'll close the voting for each of the three games at Shea against Atlanta and (if I remember) I'll also post the season-to-date totals: Friday's game: http://cybermessageboard.ehost.com/getalife/viewtopic.php?t=6151 Saturday's game: http://cybermessageboard.ehost.com/getalife/viewtopic.php?t=6155 Sunday's game: http://cybermessageboard.ehost.com/getalife/viewtopic.php?t=6163
I think the special effects could have handled Iceman. My guess is that they didn't want him to look like Frosty the Snowman. He would have been much cooler (no pun intended) if he was covered with frost and riding on that ice slide. It didn't ruin the X-Men movies for me, but I feel less of a connection the the X-Men than I do to the FF, Spidey and Hulk.
