  1. Rooting for Misch to get a CG/ShO.
  2. I think of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
  3. What's Jerry waiting for? He's long overdue to turn it over to an exhausted Brian Stokes.
  4. Ricky Otero is getting an inordinate amount of hits on the UMDB over the last few days. I did some Googling, and found some articles in Spanish. In English, the best I could do was this, from his Wikipedia page: Ricardo Otero (April 15, 1972 in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico), is a retired Major League Baseball player who played outfielder from 1995-1997. He would play for the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets. ***UPDATE*** Ricardo Otero was found in Cancun Mexico in July 2009 living under a bridge after been dragged to the underworld by the alcohol and drug abuse. He was asking for money in the streets and living as bum begging for food. He loss his money and paperwork because of the drug and alcohol addiction. A men named Luis Portillo recognized Ricky no matter he was all burned by the sun and in deplorable conditions. He contacted the retire baseball players Ricardo Rondon and Benigno Ayala who were able to retrieve Otero to New York for rehab. **www.elnuevodia.com/eldramaderickyotero-611089.html **
  5. I see that Thole was born on October 28, 1986. (One day after Jon Niese.) Would that have been the day of the parade?
  6. And he tacks on a stolen base!
  7. Slaps a single into right center.
  8. Youngest Mets catcher since Todd Hundley in 1991.
  9. Thole batting, wearing number 30.
  10. I've only watched a few innings here and there, but I did notice Keith snorting about the helmet during the first inning on Tuesday night. (He said something like, "Geez!" under his breath.) Keith is such a metrosexual, he's going to think the fashion aspect of the helmet is important. The helmet was pretty ghastly, though. Although I knew better, I kept getting the feeling that David had returned from his concussion with a grotesquely swollen head.
  11. David Wright is back to wearing a human-sized batting helmet. Keith just mentioned "The Great Gazoo."
  12. I keep thinking that Irish's blue posts are hyperlinks to be clicked upon.
  13. Tell him I said hi.
  14. I don't like painted home run lines either. But the panel that shields the apple should have been set back so that it was behind the outfield wall, not a part of it.
  15. Oops, the switchover led me to forget about this thing. Anyway... Yes to Harts, Gardner, Fyhrie, Candelaria, Hudson, and Chance. No to the other Pedro Martinez and to Jorge Toca. 1962 9/10/1962 1963 9/4/1963 1966 9/9/1966 Shaun Fitzmaurice 1967 9/1/1967 Joe Moock 1967 9/3/1967 1967 9/7/1967 Al Schmelz 1969 9/19/1969 1969 9/19/1969 Jessie Hudson 1970 9/1/1970 1970 9/20/1970 Dean Chance 1971 9/14/1971 1971 9/15/1971 1972 9/21/1972 Joe Nolan 1973 9/15/1973 Greg Harts 1974 9/12/1974 1974 9/13/1974 Rich Puig 1974 9/16/1974 1976 9/4/1976 Billy Baldwin 1977 9/29/1977 Doc Medich 1984 9/1/1984 Herm Winningham 1986 9/7/1986 Stan Jefferson 1987 9/12/1987 Randy Milligan 1987 9/18/1987 John Candelaria 1989 9/7/1989 Craig Shipley 1989 9/16/1989 Manny Hernandez 1990 9/5/1990 1990 9/7/1990 1990 9/14/1990 1990 9/30/1990 1991 9/4/1991 Terry Bross 1991 9/10/1991 Jeff Gardner 1992 9/18/1992 1993 9/6/1993 Tito Navarro 1993 9/29/1993 Kenny Greer 1996 9/14/1996 Mike Fyhrie 1996 9/15/1996 Charlie Greene 1997 9/3/1997 Carlos Mendoza 1998 9/5/1998 Ralph Milliard 1998 9/8/1998 Todd Haney 1999 9/10/1999 2001 9/3/2001 C. 16. Meanwhile Wright has only hit 3 homers on the road all season. I know the article tried to spin that as a Citi Field effect too, but that seems like a bit of a stretch to me. That aside, I like pitching, speed, and defense too. But I don't like going into September with only one player with as many as 10 home runs. I'd hate to think (and I'm not at all convinced of this yet) that the Mets play in a park where it's impossible for one of their guys to have a 30-home run season.
  17. Redding 3.5 Francoeur 1.75 Pagan 1.1 Murphy 0.8
  18. It wasn't Razor, but he'll be glad to take the credit, I'm sure.
  19. I have nothing to say. Just hoping a post in this forum will make it visible to everyone.
  20. I think it's good news, if another FF film gets made, rather than have the characters on the shelf for another 20 or 30 years. It may not be a good movie, but I'll take my chances. And I don't think they'll "rush" to make a bad movie just to hold on to the characters. It's not good business sense. Why spend the money to make a bad movie, when the bad movie will only devalue the property that you're trying to hang on to?
  21. Actually, Santana and Santana. (He's the overall leading point getter for the season.)
