Kinda big game today. Harvster making his comeback. Had a decent outing last time. Didn't have great stuff but battled through. Will be interesting if he can take another step forward today.

Also, let's score some runs.

It's another night that the Mets are within striking distance in a game that, in a just world, they would be trailing by 10 or more.

I've seen it a bunch of times, including once where David Wright was playing the part of the home-bound runner who jogged in only to have his potential run not count because of an out elsewhere on
the base paths.
Don't know that I've ever seen TWO baserunners acting like dopes simultaneously like the Cubs pulled tonight.

If you tag a sliding Javier Baez on his hair extensions does that count? I assume it does.
I'd like to see him get burned on that play some time.

I keep checking in on this one between other e-errands, and it keeps getting more pointless and depressing the later I check.

You know when you drill down into a conch shell, and you keep seeing the same Fibonnacci spiral up in there, smaller and smaller? It's not quite as fun when you get that sort of thing in a baseball season.

We load bases in top 7 w/2 outs and strike out
They get two on w/2 out and hit 3R HRs

I mean, yeah we're getting our asses kicked here, but alter just a handful of ABs and ...

That's it exactly. I can't even time my tune-ins to the good stuff: I watched maybe a total of 90 seconds of the last 90 minutes and all I saw was Robles un-load the bases and the 3-run home off McGowan.

I missed however the Mets added 2 runs last inning.

Dom Smith home run, so there's that.

Jacob Rhame's and Callahan's straight-ass fastballs? Not quite as eye-pleasing. The Cubs might disagree.
