ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 I have more interest in Robbie Krieger than the Mets.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Gary said something last night about this being more like a 7:30 start tonight because the Phils have some pre-game ceremonies going on.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Moment of silence for Darren Daulton and those lost in 2017.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 Not a bad time to try that double steal thingie, 2-outs/2-strikes w/a hot pitcher on the mound. And it almost worked but players these days have a habit of sliding too early so that by the time they reach the base they're skidding to a stop rather than busting through it which isobviously most effective at home.Mostly nit-picking here, but maybe a better slide gets him there. I don't think the new rules have helped either.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 I so appreciate getting no commentary about Rosario's great play in the field while Gelbs was interviewing Jim Thome.Kevin Burkhardt was the best at breaking away from his sideline duties to announce plays on the field and then returning to his fluff duties. Gelbs is no KB....

I don't like the team and I don't like the fans, but I've always found the Phillies' organization to be extremely classy and fan-friendly.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 This is a good game. I'm casting an online stream found on Reddit to me TV using Chromecast as I do all the WPIX games these days.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 Dang. Insurance runs for the Phucktards.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 Erick Goeddell looks like Danny Noonan from "Caddyshack," now that I get a good look at the face and the curly hair.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 It's tempting to say that there's no harm in leaving Smith in at this point in the season but PH'ing Wilmer is the right move here.Game's on the line, tough LH sidewinder out there, better power, etc.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 I forgot about Amed Rosario's great defensive play when I awarded my Schaefer points for this game. May I please give him .5 for that?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 Done! But starting in 2018, there will be an "all votes are final" policy. Editing votes after the fact requires more effort than I care to put into this low-interest Schaefer project.
