I hat that Duda had to be one of them. I'm just glad that he wasn't traded to the Yankees. That would have been cruel and unusual punishment. Getting swapped to the Yankees would be more like punishment than being traded. It wasn't that inevitable. In fact, it might have been the opposite. That's the silver lining of all the bad luck hitting at once, and early.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2017 Posted July 29, 2017 Lucas + baseball = 3rd deck in YSIII*Tied the game in the 8th. Also 2 walks and a Sac Fly* I noticed that BB-Ref lists the home park in the Bronx as YSIII, not 2 (or II) as most do. I previously thought only we did that, or maybe BB-Ref is another outlet that monitors this place

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 I have this fear that Duda is going to turn into Daniel Murphy.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 They each made critical errors in the WS but I don't know Duda's opinion of gay marriage.

That change was very favorable to Murphy (and you know who else would've fucking loved it? David Wright)

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Duda is still a free agent after the season. There's no certainty that he'll still be with the Rays in 2018.

But fortunately, none of the other NL East teams need first basemen, at least for now.
