If Reed gets traded tomorrow, who's your #1 reliever until Familia gets back? Are you willing to scrap the lefty matchups game and use Blevvy no matter the batter? Do you make much of a good turn or two by Robles? Do you allow Sewald to keep falling upwards?

Sewald seems to have the most favorable numbers, so I'll say him unless it's mostly lefties and then use Blevins.

Agree. Sewald is the answer for now.

Robles has pretty good "closer" music. What does Sewald rock? I think that should ultimately make the difference:

Hansel seems to have gotten his groove thing back. (Maybe that's not a good word for a pitcher. Make that his effectiveness.)

You know what else? These guys are a different generation from us and (and my case at least) our kids.

They have no soul.

Bah.

I suddenly realized how it felt to be my dad, who loved the Mets without having any vested interest in the players themselves. Can I do that?

Is it an age thing on my part?

Or just a generation gap?

Trying hard to like a team I have no connection with, even though my own kids are of the same generation...But in my estimation, much better people...

I'm not sure about the condition of his soul relative to Neil Allen's or Doug Sisk's... but Sewald has been nigh-airtight in all manner of situations.

So next year's pen
Familia
Ramos
Blevins
Sewald
Robles
the unstoppable Erik Goeddell, etc etc

Maybe the kid Drew Smith might be ready.

Plus we might re-sign Reed. Lots of money to spend this Winter

New answer: A.J. Ramos!

You're all overlooking the triumphant return of the gloriously reinstated Jenrry Mejia!

I would rather the Mets overlook the possible return of Mejia. He's a 3 time loser when it comes to PEDs, so I prefer the Mets not relay on him and I personally prefer he not pitch for the team I root for.

Lifetime ban. First ever for PEDs. A pioneer in his field!

Ramos walks so many guys, you guys. Like, pushing 5-per-9. Career.
