Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 This is the start of the Hellickson trade showcase, one would imagine.Let's put some dings in this floor model, shall we?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Yesterday, the Phils hung tight to the very end despite the opposition staff ace throwing his best stuff. Their young starter eluded the worst after getting into early trouble and did yeoman's work turning his day around and keeping his team in the game. Two of their rookies had their first career hits. That was way too many moral victories for the Mets to allow a team to sleep on. They need to open up the throttle a little on these Phils. Also, are Duda and Conforto on this team or not?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Duda's penciled in there. Hopefully, he won't be a late scratch again.[*:2d18kahu]Granderson, cf[/*:m:2d18kahu][*:2d18kahu]Cabreara, 2b[/*:m:2d18kahu][*:2d18kahu]Céspedes, lf[/*:m:2d18kahu][*:2d18kahu]Bruce, rf[/*:m:2d18kahu][*:2d18kahu]Doo-wop, 1b[/*:m:2d18kahu][*:2d18kahu]Rivera, TJ, 3b[/*:m:2d18kahu][*:2d18kahu]Reyes, ss[/*:m:2d18kahu][*:2d18kahu]d'Arnaud, c[/*:m:2d18kahu][*:2d18kahu]Wheeler, sp[/*:m:2d18kahu][/list:o:2d18kahu]
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 I hope Conforto regains his swing after this rest.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 I look at Zack and wonder when we will sign Bartolo.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 A thoroughly annoying performance by Wheeler.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 What happened with Wheeler? Another injury? His line doesn't look all that bad.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Time to stretch...[youtube:2tgrh4kt]l482T0yNkeo[/youtube:2tgrh4kt]
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 And we're back. And hey! Joaquin Benoit is still in the league! Who knew?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Reedy on looking for the last three outs of a four-out save.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Tommy Joseph flies to shallow center.Nick Williams up.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Mixed blessing! Ground out to Duda, but the tying run crosses to third!Mikael Franco! He's up![bigpurple:20d7nrv6]AND HE'S OUT O MY GOD!!![/bigpurple:20d7nrv6]
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 [crossout:mqrqciio]And Salas gets the win?I know, wins aren't an important part of a pitcher's record, andthe official scorer can award the win to another pitcher if the pitcher of record pitched "briefly and ineffectively."But still ... Oh, they won.[/crossout:mqrqciio]Never mind. That's why Schaefer voting is so improtant.Later
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Nationals lose, allowing the Mets to close within nine games in the NL East.Miami loses, dropping them 2 1/2 games behind the Mets in the standings in the East, as well as in the Wild Card.Pittsburgh loses, dropping them 1 1/2 games behind the Mets in the standings in the Wild Card. The Cardinals and Braves sit a game ahead, and suddenly, the Cubs only a game and a half.Wild Card leaders Colorado and Arizona are battling it out in the first right now. The Mets are guaranteed to gain on one of them.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 They were losing when Bon told us to stretch.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 I somehow missed this being a 4 PM start, and just sat around Skyzone for an hour, reading my book, while my son bounced, and then we ate, me clueless all the while, and I put the game on XM right around 6:50 thinking we'd get pre game and holy shit! It was the 7th inning. So we got to hear Josh and Howie's call of Cabrera's big bomb, which worked out perfectly.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 This is a good night to watch the sports report on the Philly channel
