Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Shortest homestand ever between two long road trips and an All Star Break. It's, like, three home games in four weeks. Sorry, Matt Harvey, you need to stop partying and report to work for a few days.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 I'm pretty sure I'm not off Monday.

seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 I'm off today and Monday (and the rest of next week because fuck stress) and yes, I've already poured my first beer of the weekend after spending the morning throwing out three enormous garbage bags of crap out of the kids' rooms and the kitchen.

MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 I don't know how difficult it was to research this but I heard on WFAN yesterday that deGrom's career ERA in games that start before 5 PM is the lowest in baseball over the past 100 years. It is around 1.60.Its around 6:30 PM, too late to call MLB and have the game moved up.But for future reference ...Later

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 The 7 day weekend is where its at.No Conforto.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Has anyone ever tracked the Mets record based on who the announced 'State Farm Agent of the Day' is?I certainly think that sort of information is vital to know. Maybe Elias can tell me.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Curtis knocking it up the middle consistently. First run in.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 And Cabrera running like a shlub to first.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Nice that they finally got a run across, but this Lively guy is 50-some pitches in and has retired [u:2aw52ahw]4 of the 11 batters he's faced[/u:2aw52ahw].With a stretch like that he should already be in the shower with at least a 5-spot attached to him.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Man, Kelly looked overmatched against deGrom.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 A double call by the ump? How bush league, but he got the call right.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Annoying SNY trick: that little box that shows the baserunners on the whole diamond which blocks a quarter of the screen. Please stop.

Please stop.Don't mind seeing it once if there's an unusual shift going on, but show it then remove it.I think they're starting to get the hang of their new toy, but in the first couple of uses they were leaving up there too long.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Oh geez. I was starting to believe
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Outfielders losing a ball should count as an error.Every time.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 That lost ball screwed up a lot.Not just the no-hitter and obviously the run, but it also cost deGrom another 8 pitches to get through the inning and prevented him from leading off the 6th with the 8 & 9 hitters instead of the top of the order.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Yeah but we probably should have knocked him out in the 2nd.I have a bad feeling suddenly
