Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 Hey, NewMetting after all.No-nonsense beard on the Bradford. Gives him the look of someone you'd ask for home repair advice, or a car-part-purveyor recommendation.
RealityChuck Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 If he pitches poorly, will the Giants Chase Bradford?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 Do you suppose those seagulls are saying to each other as they circle the park: "Damn, these games are taking longer and longer every year and keep pushing our dinner later and later"

RealityChuck Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 Montero's first win since 2014.People were talking about how long Wheeler went between wins earlier this year, but Rafael beat him.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 Its amazing how well the games go when Angel Hernandez isn't part of the umpiring crew.Kudos to my kid, Montero.Later
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 Under most circumstances you'd see a seven game California road trip which itself was ending up a stretch of 18 games in 17 days (last day off = June 8) and figure that going 3-and-4 isn't too bad.Except that in this case we didn't even look like we belonged on the same field over the first four games before beating up the worst team in the league without their best pitcher in the closing three.Plus it's not like we're in a position to settle for merely treading water while watching another week melt off the schedule.Still, considering the way the week started ...
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 Hey, credit where credit is due. They aren't the worst yet. They still sit on top of the Phillies.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 Hell of a weekend really, they could have just continued sinking andinstead pull out the broom. Hopefully tomorrow when I log in I will seeBill and feel the sweeping glory that only he can provide.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 Mets rule! These games were fun to watch/listen to. I do enjoy watching the whomp on these Giants.

May his beard and his ERA always be well trimmed.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 It's a backup catcher's beard, though, isn't it?I couldn't find anything about a Mrs. Bradford for Wifey Watch, but those baseball groupie chickz, who hang around the baseball groupie sites, absolutely HATE the guy.I guess that's a plus, but it wasn't exactly his virtue that they were indicting him for.
