My thinking is that Pill's level is far from established.

When we faced Davies in Milwaukee two weeks ago he managed to throw over 100 pitches in 5 innings while giving up 7 hits and was lucky to get away with only four runs scored against him.
That he and the Brews later got the win was a tribute to their 8-run bottom of the 5th -- off Gsellman & Robles -- in what I called at the time perhaps the worst pitched baseball game I ever saw.

BTW. I got some passionate mouth kisses from my 100% Italian named grandson today, although he has blue eyes and blond hair. A little bit of an identity bender. :D

Nice Pill-ing tonight.
Gave himself some trouble with the BBs and the opening HBP, but I think all of the hits he gave up except one were pretty soft and/or seeing-eye.

His ERA certainly took a plunge and he has a chance to even his career record.
