ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Maybe we can steal one here. Both pitchers are below mediocre.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 My thinking is that Pill's level is far from established.[table:x03w9f89][tr:x03w9f89][td:x03w9f89][fimg=250:x03w9f89]https://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/Njk4WDUwOA==/z/0HwAAOSwrhBZC0mC/$_58.JPG[/fimg:x03w9f89][/td:x03w9f89][td:x03w9f89][fimg=250:x03w9f89]http://cdn.sportsmemorabilia.com/sports-product-image/jeromy-burnitz-autographed-baseball-card-new-york-mets-1993-leaf-5031-t6607361-748.jpg[/fimg:x03w9f89][/td:x03w9f89][/tr:x03w9f89][tr:x03w9f89][td:x03w9f89][*:x03w9f89]Keon Broxton, cf[/*:m:x03w9f89][*:x03w9f89]Eric Thames, 1b[/*:m:x03w9f89][*:x03w9f89]Hernan Perez, lf[/*:m:x03w9f89][*:x03w9f89]Travis Shaw, 3b[/*:m:x03w9f89][*:x03w9f89]Domingo Santana, rf[/*:m:x03w9f89][*:x03w9f89]Jett Bandy, c[/*:m:x03w9f89][*:x03w9f89]Jonathan Villar, 2b[/*:m:x03w9f89][*:x03w9f89]Orlando Arcia, ss[/*:m:x03w9f89][*:x03w9f89]Zach Davies, sp[/*:m:x03w9f89][/list:o:x03w9f89][/td:x03w9f89][td:x03w9f89][*:x03w9f89]Michael Conforto, lf[/*:m:x03w9f89][*:x03w9f89]Jose Reyes, 3b[/*:m:x03w9f89][*:x03w9f89]Jay Bruce, rf[/*:m:x03w9f89][*:x03w9f89]Neil Walker, 2b[/*:m:x03w9f89][*:x03w9f89]Lucas Duda, 1b[/*:m:x03w9f89][*:x03w9f89]Curtis Granderson, cf[/*:m:x03w9f89][*:x03w9f89]Asdrubal Cabrera, ss[/*:m:x03w9f89][*:x03w9f89]Travis d'Arnaud, c[/*:m:x03w9f89][*:x03w9f89]Tyler Pill, sp[/*:m:x03w9f89][/list:o:x03w9f89][/td:x03w9f89][/tr:x03w9f89][/table:x03w9f89]
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Conforto - LFReyes - 3BBruce - RFWalker - 2BDuda - 1BGranderson - CFCabrera - SSd'Arnaud - CPill - PWhen we faced Davies in Milwaukee two weeks ago he managed to throw over 100 pitches in 5 innings while giving up 7 hits and was lucky to get away with only four runs scored against him.That he and the Brews later got the win was a tribute to their 8-run bottom of the 5th -- off Gsellman & Robles -- in what I called at the time perhaps the worst pitched baseball game I ever saw.

Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Let's hope this Pill works like Viagra.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Davies looks like he is 14 and trying for some facial growth to look older
Guest cooby Guests Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 BTW. I got some passionate mouth kisses from my 100% Italian named grandson today, although he has blue eyes and blond hair. A little bit of an identity bender.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Don't get shut out by Zach Davies.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 I wonder who the Milwaukee GM is taking to the prom?
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Brewers find RISP a tough pill to swallow this evening, details at 11.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 That inning is something to build on. Come on, Metbats!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 d'Arnie whacked in the face with a bat. Man.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 I like Pill's bunting technique. He actually squares his hips, which nobody does anymore.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 d'Arnaud should've tagged from first on that fly to left.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 José Reyes is the very embodiment of restraint.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Nice work tonight by Pill, my favorite San Dimas resident since these dudes.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 That may be the best throw d'Arnaud ever made in his life.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Nice Pill-ing tonight.Gave himself some trouble with the BBs and the opening HBP, but I think all of the hits he gave up except one were pretty soft and/or seeing-eye.His ERA certainly took a plunge and he has a chance to even his career record.
