Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 d'Arnaud's pink chest protector and pads are gonna be on eBay Monday.Plawecki didn't make the pink-worthiness cut somehow.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Meanwhile, Gsellman and his 4-2 lead in the fifth is on meltdown alert.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Giselle and Milone are not going to get us anywhere near the promised land,As early as it is, I don't see the Mets finishing even .500 as constituted.Sell, sell. sell.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2017 Author Posted May 14, 2017 This may well be the worst pitched baseball game I've ever witnessed. The only surprise is that there have only been 14 runs scored so far.I'm still not sure how Davies got away with only giving up 4.It's also why the game is headed for over four hours.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Yeah it looks like Gsellman is just not that good. The question was whether last year was an awakening or fluke. It looks like it was a fluke.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Hey, José in center! The game is suddenly interesting!

It looks like it was a fluke. The Mets were apparently high on him and there were at least a couple of the prospect hounds who said specifically that his success last year was decidedly not a fluke. Now that doesn't mean they'll eventually be right, but their opinions were based on more than just his half dozen 2016 starts.

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 I've been switching back and forth between online streams of the WPIX feed and Josh/Howie on Sirius XM, when my video stream gets too choppy. Now that it's not as close, I've switched back to audio only. There's not a ton to see at this moment.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Well, Conforto looked ... like a ballboy out there.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Hey, why not let Reyes pitch an inning or two?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Keith is exaggerating. They got his swing.[youtube:o6qdpt0q]nVbiOrNYkYI[/youtube:o6qdpt0q]
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Can someone do a screen capture of Terry in his pink-billed hat withhis glasses on studying whatever he was studying down seven with littlehope in sight?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 We have a Montero scoreless inning in captivity.#babysteps#reallytinylittlebabysteps
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Maybe if they hypnotize Montero, to make him believe every inning he pitches is a low-leverage inning in a blowout...
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 They should have put Reynolds in at short and kept JoséJoséJosé in the outfield.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Ralph used to say that only one player in Mets history ever asked him for hitting advice. I guess it was Keith.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 This season is rapidly slipping away.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 I hate baseball. That was the least fun I have ever had at a ballgame. What a miserable experience.
