I'm all for moving Harvey, but for a team that claims to be contending how do you tell the fans "we're going to take a loss today and send Adam Wilk out there"?

i would have suspended him the 4 games between starts - the team loses nothing and he loses salary and the embarrassment, if any, of getting suspended.

I never cared from Harvey from day one. Oozes with arrogance. He's all about himself and not the team and more concerned with his um extracurricular activities. I tend to skip watching games he's pitching and tune in when the bullpen takes over. I really hope he gets and hope it gets done quickly.

Because suspending him between starts is as weak and self-serving as his decision not to show up between starts. And 100% of everybody would see that. "We're pissed at you. Now go out there and pitch to win, and clean out your locker afterwards." That's not going to fly.

Well, the suspension comes in with a concomitant pay cut. That hurts even if the three day vacation doesn't, and thus, the grievance.

Trying to guess how much of yesterday's fiasco was demoralization. It would have been nice for a few of the batsmen to turn to each other and say, "This Wilk guy has been thrown in the deep end. Let's get together and bail him out."

Not that they have to but I'd trade his fat white ass tomorrow if it brought me a decent starting pitching prospect and some help at third base. What the Mets get is the benefit of not losing him eventually, and for already having gotten his best at a good price. It's true his stock is way down but you have to wonder at this point, how much more is to be achieved as a Met? 2013 is not coming back.

I also root that he's traded someplace like San Diego or Minnesota. Or maybe to the Rockies LOLOLOLLL
