A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 We are an extra-base hit away from being down 5-0 again today. Jeez, Louise.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Four more walks would do it too.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Harvey "escapes" with only 2 runs allowed. Shoulda maybe been 1, Reyes definitely had a play at home on Suzuki. Too early for a drink?
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Yeah, I don't know wtf Jose was thinking there... par for the course it seems.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Bruce is a dead duck at the plate.Sheesh.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 27, 2017 Author Posted April 27, 2017 Well, when you're down by two with no outs, you definitely want to send that runner from third. And you want to send him with explicit instructions to not slide.I want to fire myself at this point.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 They're really not making good use of their baserunners.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Are Gary and Ron talking less than they usually do? There's a lot of silence. I don't know if this is by design, or if they're having technical difficulties.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Their plan seems to be to make outs on the basepaths. They may want to rethink that.

They're showing multiple angles of the replay, but none of the shots show whether or not the umpire called safe or out.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Call overturned! They're STILL not saying anything! Is there a gas leak in the booth, perhaps?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 27, 2017 Author Posted April 27, 2017 Yeah, this broadcast needs about four cups of Keith. That play is about as tie-goes-to-the-runner-y as they come.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 I missed the opening. Are Gary and Ron intentionally taking some kind of minimalist experimental approach? They finally started talking again.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 They should cut to Steve Gelbs and just show him standing there silently for about a minute or so.This time Jose decided to throw home with the bases loaded!

seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Fuck this shit. Turn the season off and on again and let's hope we haven't saved the game yet.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 I wish I could say that dodging a bases-loaded/no-out situation was sure to be inspiring ... but I don't believe a word of it.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Aaaaaaaaaand out goes Cespedes!
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Aw fucksticks, Ces hobbled pulling into second...
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 27, 2017 Author Posted April 27, 2017 Well, can't say I didn't see a Céspedes leg injury coming.Mercy me.

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Mets tying the score should seem inspiring. It's not.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 In positive news, we're not trailing for the first time in something like 8 games
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 I guess it's nice that Cespedes started a rally on his way out the door. But geez, this season is in a tailspin.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 (edited) Should have bunted on Dickey once it became obvious he couldn't get off the mound easily. One assumes he is gone now that he's done four innings. Snitker probably left him in to try for the win. Also, we're doomed. Edited April 27, 2017 by Guest
