BETHKE 1. 1965: Made his MLB debut at 18, went 2-0 in 40 innings - and never pitched another MLB season.
BLAIR 2. 1998: Came from Arizona in the Gilkey deal, gave up McGwire's 50th HR.
CASTILLO 3. 1991: Acquired from Atlanta, then traded to Toronto. Lefty reliever.
FAMILIA 4. 2012-16: Fifth on the Mets' all-time saves list.
GREEN 5. 2009: Oft-conflated with Andy Phillips.
HAMPTON 6. 1974: Traded by the Mets to California for #13. Don't know his impressions of the school system there.
McMICHAEL 7. 1997-99: Finished second in the ROY voting with Atlanta in 1993. Traded from the Mets to the Dodgers in June 1998, then traded BACK to the Mets in July 1998, then traded to Oakland in July 1999.
MILLER 8. 1980-81: Became a long-time pitching coach, mainly in the Cardinals organization, after retirement.
MOFORD 9. 1962: Bits and pieces of four major league seasons; didn't make it to the end of April as a Met.
RENIFF 10. 1967: 1960s MFY bullpen mainstay who struck out in all four ABs as a Met.
DAVE ROBERTS 11. 1981: Debuted in 1969 wuith the Padres, had a good run with them and Houston, then bounced around until he finished 0-3, 9.89 with the 1981 Mets.
GRANT ROBERTS 12. 2000-04: Smoked a joint once and Mets fans never let him forget it.
SANDERS 13. 1975-76: Acquired by the Mets for #6. Spent the rest of his career in the AL, including leading the league in saves in 1971 with Milwaukee.
SELE 14. 2007: Former 1st-round pick for Boston who pitched well in the AL for a long time before ending his career as a Met.
SPRINGER 15. 2000: As a Dodger in 2001, surrendered Barry Bonds' 73rd home run on a 3-2 knuckleball.
WEATHERS 16. 2002-04: Pitched for nine teams in 19 seasons. Won a ring in 1996.
WILSON 17. 2004: Backup catcher/utility guy who had two reasonably productive seasons in Toronto in 2002-03.

1. 2007: Only got one hit as a Met, but it was a game-winner in a game against the Dodgers. Outfielder.
2. 2008: Not quite the player his dad was.
3. 1963-64: Bullpenner who came over from St. Louis in exchange for Ken MacKenzie.
4. 2004: Outfielder who served as a DH/PH for Minnesota and then San Diego before ending his short career with five days as a Met in August 2004.
5. 1995-96: 109-96 in 14 seasons with an ERA+ of 103, which sounds just about right. Typical veteran "innings eater" who pitched for seven different teams.
6. 2002: Had an infield single off John Smoltz in the 9-run ninth on April 6, then went down to AAA and never made it back. 1st round pick who made some noise with the White Sox in the late 90s but never amounted to much.
7. 1974-75: All 3 AB came when he pitched the 17th-24th innings, giving up no runs, in that crazy game against the Cardinals.
8. 1993: 1-1, 4.25 in his only MLB season after being a Rule 5 pick from the MFYs.
9. 1987: Sent to Philly as a PTBNL in the Samuel trade. Later became a solid bullpen arm for the Twins.
10. 2004: Vet best known as a Twin or Oriole who started two games in July and was "meh."
11. 1992: Eight games for the Cubs in 1982, eleven for the Jays (7-0!) in 1985, then three years in Milwaukee as a part-time starter before appearing in nine games as a Met in 1992.
12. 2006: 7.71 ERA in 14 innings as a Met. RIP.
13. 1998: Utility guy/PH who was a September callup after a few cups of coffee with the Cubs.
14. 1973: 0-4, 6.23 after being a solid bullpen arm in Cleveland for a few seasons.
15. 2008: Came up with the MFYs in 2001 and was terrible, then pitched overseas before making his return.
16. 2013: Hilarious that anyone thought he had anything left. 7.20 ERA in ten innings.
17. 1985: LHP who was traded to Minnesota in the Tim Teufel deal.
18. 2002: OF who came from Colorado with John Thomson, then dealt away two weeks later to Arizona.
19. 1999: Traded to Oakland for Kenny Rogers, then finished second in the 2000 ROY voting.
20. 2001: 10.06 ERA. (Not a typo.) LOOGY who couldn't even get OO.
21. 1995-96: Useful bullpen arm acquired from the Pirates and then dealt to Seattle.
22. 1972-73: Looks like was converted to a pitcher in the Mets' system, and was eventually traded for Joe Torre.
23. 1972: His only MLB season; struggled his way through nineteen relief appearances. No relation to the enormous 2012 Met.
24. 2015-16: Key bullpen piece.
25. 1994: Brooklyn --> Columbia U --> San Diego --> Mets
26. 1967-68: Conflated with, but not related to, a similarly-named teammate. LHRP.
27. 1991: Rule 5 pick who went 2-3, 5.19. LHP who went to Montreal in 1992 and gave up eight runs in a third of an inning over two games in April against the Mets.
28. 2003-04: The real reason the current player changed his name is so he wouldn't be associated with this guy.
29. 2008-09: This RHP + a 1986 Met = Broadway star!
30. 1982: Better known for his baseball card hair than his bat.
31. 1972: 5.52 ERA in 31 innings, and he's not even the worst pitcher with this name in team history.
32. 2016: Surprise starter in three games last season.
