Still the only MLBer from Churubusco HS, Indiana. 3. 1993: Got a 1992 Bowman card, making everyone say "Who?" Then went 1-17 in 1993 and never made it back to the bigs.4. 1994-95: 0-17 as a Met; best known as a Brave, where he gave up a walk-off HR in the 1999 WS.

A lot of these brief Mets are extra top of mind for me as a result.

For Topps collectors, he's the "first Met."2. 1976-78: 2-16 in 82 games as a Met, his entire MLB career; traded to Texas for Dock Ellis.3. 1985-89: 3-16 in 185 games as a Met, even getting some MVP support, before being traded and winning a ring.4. 1993: 3-16 as a Met, all off the bench and as a defensive replacement in the outfield.5. 1993-94: Drafted by the Mets in 1984, but was famously traded away and didn't make it back until 1993. 4-16 as a Met. 6. 1994: 1-16 as a Met, for two weeks in May.7. 2010: 10-6, 3.61 in 53 games. 1-16 at the plate, getting a hit in his first major league AB.8. 2016: 34th round draft pick in 2011; went 3-16 in 17 games (8 starts) last season.
