Maybe they should keep the rosters at 25 in September and expand them to 40 in October.

I hung in as long as I could, but fell asleep with the score 4-3 and the Nats still threatening.
When I woke up this morning, the I checked to see that the Nats didn't win and that Ollie Perez was not the winning pitcher.
I was happy.

Don't give them any ideas. With 40-man rosters that game might still be going.

YOU were rooting for the Dodgers?

I rooted for the meteor when they were playing on the left coast. But this was played too close to home. The pain the Nats have inflicted is more recent. If they both couldn't lose, this was the lesser of two evils and I still hat myself.
I will ask for forgiveness next Yom Kippur.

Go Cubs!

I was kind of rooting for the Dodgers here too, for the same reasons. And now I have to root for the Cubs, which sucks too. Thankfully, we can all just root for whoever comes out of the AL.

I think I wanted Washington to win, because I prefer Daniel Murphy to Chase Utley, for reasons that I can't quite put my finger on.

I was thinking along those lines too but I have to say I was thrilled to see Kershaw pop up Muffy last night with the series on the line. It was maybe the only time I've seen Muffy do less for the Nats than he did for the Mets in a similar situation (2 HRs off CK in last year's playoff)
