G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Maybe they should keep the rosters at 25 in September and expand them to 40 in October.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 I hung in as long as I could, but fell asleep with the score 4-3 and the Nats still threatening. When I woke up this morning, the I checked to see that the Nats didn't win and that Ollie Perez was not the winning pitcher. I was happy.Later

But this was played too close to home. The pain the Nats have inflicted is more recent. If they both couldn't lose, this was the lesser of two evils and I still hat myself.I will ask for forgiveness next Yom Kippur.Go Cubs!Later

And now I have to root for the Cubs, which sucks too. Thankfully, we can all just root for whoever comes out of the AL.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 I think I wanted Washington to win, because I prefer Daniel Murphy to Chase Utley, for reasons that I can't quite put my finger on.

It was maybe the only time I've seen Muffy do less for the Nats than he did for the Mets in a similar situation (2 HRs off CK in last year's playoff)
