Wow. You know you have hit rock bottom when you are lifted so Eric Campbell (and his .159 BA) can hit for you. I guess Collins is beyond trying to spare Bruce's mental health.

Campbell comes through and makes Collins look like a mad psychic.

Out of the frying pan, into the soup. I'd bat Bruce here. Bruce in a slump isn't much worse than Campbell playing like Campbell.

I stand corrected.

If only he were Joe Dimaggio.

Too bad Terry ran out of Las Vegas call ups, not hitting their weight, for pinch hit duty.

Adam Wainwright (16) has more RBI this season than Travis d'Arnaud (14) this season. True story. #Mets

A bloop that should have been caught, followed by two 3-pitch Ks then a ground-out against the middle of the Braves lineup.
IOW, another boringly effective inning from Addison Reed.

Freakin' Braves. Good thing we're playing the weaker teams in the league.

This is what I was worried about w/all that "easy schedule" bullshit. These are the 2016 Braves taking must win games from us.

I'm going to have to print out and then burn the new Yo kaBOOM that must have jinxed him. And then I'll delete it from my hard drive. Then erase it from my memory.

Deserved that L. Crowd was dead. Blevins screwed up, so did Bruce/Grandy, so did Cespy, so did former Met Travis d'Arnaud. Gsellman being unable to hit didn't help. Tony Randazzo didn't help.

Good games for Cabrera ad Big Jim Henderson, tho, so there's that.

You were at the game tonight? How big was the crowd? And by that I mean head-count, not the fantasy island numbers the Mets put out. Because the crowd looked small on the TV and what with the Mets being in a pennant race and all, I was wondering about the crowd size and why it looked so small.

Also, you sure do read a lot of rock and roll books.
