Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Ervin Santana versus Seth Lugo.Lost in the win yesterday was that the Mets have kinda stopped hitting. Even against a guy with a near 10 ERA. Task is tougher today with veteran Ervin Santana. Let's start hitting guys.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Nothing against TJ Rivera but is Terry falling in love with the him and going L/R/L/R at the expense of Kelly Johnson, a better hitter?

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 awful lot of bullshit calls tonite so far.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Mets hitters must be mistaking Ervin Santana for Johan Santana.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Listening a few min behind on XM due to WPIX/FIOS nonsense as per usual on a Saturday.Bases loaded for Conforto (don't spoil it for me!)Forced to listen to the Twinks radio team as XM is barfing on the Howie/Josh call. These guys are surprisingly pleasant for a road radio team. Most other broadcast teams are insipid but these guys are giving equal talk time to both squads and not descending into who-cares-ness.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Giving FMan time to catch up .... OK now!Even more so than Jay Bruce, Conforto has been 0-2 or maybe 1-2 in seemingly every AB since about the 1st of May and the results become pretty predictable after that.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 A Kevin Plawecki sighting!!His first ML game since June 19 even though he was recalled nearly three weeks ago.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 The Mets had their best chance to score in the 7th inning, as Santana suddenly couldn't locate the plate with a road map. Not surprisingly, the Mets couldn't get the hit they needed to knock him out as Conforta strikes out with the bases loaded to end the threat.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Reed with an efficient 1-2-3 inning in the 8th. Now lets get some runs.Let's
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Leadoff single by Reyes to open the inning.Go
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Wild pitch. Reyes to second with no outs. Bring him home!!Mets!!!

He started a thing years ago where he 'circles' random fans with his tele-strator so, at home games, fans will bring signs to the game saying, 'Hey Bert, Circle Me!!, and once or twice per game he'll do just that.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 I think that pitch DID hit Cespedes but, with a 2-1 count, it's better that the AB continues.

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 It's gonna cost, but they have to keep this guy Cespedes.

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Almost on cue, Jay Brauce strikes out looking to end the inning.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 The 4/5 hitters on this team right now are unwatchable.
