Guest cooby Guests Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 At least they're playing Black Dog. Earlier it was See You In September
Guest Mets Guy in Michigan Guests Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 WTF? It was 4-0 when I went down the hall to talk to someone, and now it's 9-0? Did Niese give up a grannie or something?

batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Jon Niese is the Pirates' Manchurian Candidate.

Did Niese give up a grannie or something? No, Niese would never do anything like that.Did serve up a bases-loaded triple though.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Does it? Gives extra time to remove those bone spurs.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Fewer pitches for this Shipley guy thru 7 innings than Noah needed just to get thru 4.I'm going to continue to come up with comparisons such as these until I can't possibly feel any more shitty about this game than I already do.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Now THAT's the Niese I remember. Try as I could to erase those memories from my mind, I couldn't.Believe me.I tried. At least TJ got into the game.C'mon, Homey, hit a 10 run homer and we can all go home happy.Later
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Fboy and I almost drove down for this one. That'd be a long ride home.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Ev-ree-bah-dee-crap-yo-pants!(sorry, this game gave me additional brain damage)
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Good thing we started our defensive catcher today or else there might have been a lot of stolen bases and shit.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 He had a passed ball too, not that that matters down by three field goals...

Guest Mets Guy in Michigan Guests Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 When do some these injured guys start coming back? Reyes started rehab with the Cyclones today, right? Is Cespedes too far off? I'm assuming Cabrera at least a month out.

Cespedes will obviously help if he is in fact ready in another 8 or so days but probably not enough if Conforto and d'Arnaud are both going to be disasters while everyone else, minus Walker and Granderson who are merely good, is lucky to be average.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 (edited) We're shot. Get Noah and Matz checked out.Too much ill will to keep Cespedes. We need a catcher and aA NEW GM AND MANAGER TO REBUILD THIS MESS.Importantly, if you still want to watch these bums keep the remote closby!P.S. DFA Reyes, just because. Edited August 11, 2016 by Guest

Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Over the years we've joked about the kids having to leave these gamesearly because the bus is waiting and it's time to keep on schedule. The kidsran out of the stadium to go sit in a buses with no air conditioning about 45minutes ago.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 At least I didn't have to see this shitshow.Gamecast even said: in play, (stop watching)
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Rally-cap time! Two men on, no one out in the ninth. Odds of a double play? 6-5.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Y'know this game is also the spiritual descendant of the MoFo picnic game - Thursday afternoon game, second week of August ... although not quite as hot today. Not a good thing that our best offensive output of this series came in the game vs Greinke.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Odds of a hit w/RiSP: 1 in 35
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 So, who's getting fired tonight? My money's on Kevin Long.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 I'd fire Collins tonight just because. Let Wally ride out 2016.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Kevin Long doesn't seem to be living up to his genius reputation.I'd like to see him replaced with Ted Williams' frozen head.
