That was one of those calls that shouldn't have been overturned if originally called out or if originally called safe.
But MLB has decided that it's terribly important to "correct" calls that were razor-thin one way or the other with somewhat educated guesswork which may or may not be as accurate as what they started with.

Mad Men and Breaking Bad and the Obama administration (almost entirely) have debuted and eclipsed in the interim. Syndergaard was in middle school the last time Bartolo Colon walked two hitters in a row.
