Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Lots of Pepe Mangual talk in the radio booth.Howie also calling Del Unser the best pure center fielder they've ever had. Apparently he's forgetting a guy in the lineup tonight.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Gary brings up the first booth mention (that I've heard anyway) of Ron's recent child.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Phils lose, Marlins win, Braves off (and also irrelevant).

TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 That top of the third was a good sign for this offense. Entertaining stuff!
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Melissa Rodriguez makes me want to learn Spanish. And forget English.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Just what the Dr. ordered. Easy, non-pen burning win, shutdown of Harper, flexing a lil muscle, taking back a little swagger from them.Harvey -- jeez what a big day tomorrow

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Colon has been battling some back soreness as well, something which explains his passive approach at the plate last night.I thought it wasnt worth it to swing, Colon said. I swing at the balls pretty hard and I thought, Not worth making my back worse, so I told their catcher from the beginning, Just throw it right down the middle, [im] not swinging.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 I assumed as much.He probably said the same thing to the Derek Norris before taking Shields deep.

Lightning doesn't strike twice.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Amazing tidbit raised during the telecast: Colon's multiple-walk game last time out was odder than we realized, most likely. Like, he hadn't walked back-to-back hitters since July 18... 2007.Among many others, Evan Longoria, Daniel Murphy, Clayton Kershaw, and Chris Davis have had their entire major league careers (so far) in between. Mad Men and Breaking Bad and the Obama administration (almost entirely) have debuted and eclipsed in the interim. Syndergaard was in middle school the last time Bartolo Colon walked two hitters in a row.
