bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 (edited) The MFYs have minimized their relationship with StubHub and are not allowing their ticket holders to print tickets at home. They say it's to "combat fraud":http://mlb.nbcsports.com/2016/02/17/the-yankees-escalate-their-war-on-stubhub/Let Lonn Trost explain further:http://mlb.nbcsports.com/2016/02/18/yankees-coo-lonn-trost-gives-a-snobby-and-elitist-explanation-for-new-ticket-polcities/Why doesn't he ask Trump to build a wall around the high priced seats to keep the rest of us out? batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 I don't know that this makes it better to be a Mets fan. Maybe for now. I'm worried that the Mets'll follow suit. This is mainly about getting rid of competitors so that the team can sell their available stock at a higher price, right?
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Stub Hub will get nothing AND LIKE IT
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 I feel bad for Ticket Oak.

Nothing pisses off a sports team more than jacked-up prices on the secondary market ... that they don't get a piece of!!

They started this last year, or the year before I think. They've been going back and forth but it stemmed from Stub Hub's lower minimum sale price as compared to Ticketmaster. This will mainly hurt the non-smartphone friendly older crowd that still knows enough to buy a ticket on StubHub and print it. Otherwise it's mostly just an added inconvenience to get a ticket to the game. (You know, besides it being the Bronx, the Yankees, no parking, a long subway ride and a miserable fanbase and a mall of a stadium)

MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Do they see this before or after the no gambling sign? Or did this one replace it?The best sign to motivate their players would be the anti-Major League approach. They start with a naked picture of Suzyn Waldmann and put a small piece of clothing on it with every victory.Later
