Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 I'm still not used to baseball season. Stupid cold rainy spring and dumbass schedule. Missing HRs all over the place!
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2016 Author Posted April 27, 2016 o far this early season, my team is struggling a bit. there's just no power, and my pitching has been uncharacteristically spotty as well. i took to the strategy of sitting my expensive slumpers, only to see miggy smack two homers two nights ago, and mccutch knock in three of his own last night. of course. but it's early, so far, and my guys should start to get back to the backs of their baseball cards. or else there's a fire-sale coming!
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 I am all hit and no pitching this year...in the top two of all hitting categories, but at the bottom in all pitching categories.Shelby Miller and Matt Harvey are letting me down BIG TIME so far.

Thanks for keeping me (and RA Dickey) out of the basement in pitching categories. Eovaldi was so awful in his first starts he didn't make my 'ro when he finally had a good one.Gonna be that kind of season for me.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 i hate my team so far. burn 'em all.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Whoa, the Lunchladies woke up in 3rd place today. Gonna be a big fight for that 2nd Wild Card this year
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 My two highest paid pitchers (Harvey and Shelby Miller) are both now riding the pine. These guys represent 14.5% of my total payroll and are pitching like total dog doo.OE: And my third highest paid pitcher (Wheeler) hasn't pitched in a meaningful game in 20 months.I'm going for GM of the year if you couldn't tell.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2016 Author Posted May 24, 2016 with 3 starters on the DL, and 2 utterly ineffective, i'm running a 3-man rotation right now... thank god for clayton kershaw!

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Hey is possible to revamp the league to a division format next season? Too many of us are out of the $$ and there's little incentive to deal

I've been really bad with focusing on baseball, particularly fantasy, this year in general.

TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Yeah, 12 teams and 1 winner makes it tough to get excited if your are not near the top of the standings.By this time each season, I'm usually already dumping for next year.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2016 Author Posted July 29, 2016 this season is difficult - it's not even a race! muddy chickens hit big-time on all his draft picks, it seems. at least in the past, there's been two teams battling it out. or at least not so much of a gap. this year, wow...i had been hoping to transition into being a buyer if my pitching ever straightened out, but kershaw going down and staying down has ended that fantasy. boo.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted November 12, 2016 Author Posted November 12, 2016 Allocate, holdouts!
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 We can start cutting overpriced players with impunity, yes?
