Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Wow, it's been over 21 years since I last set foot in my childhood bedroom.I wonder if the people who own the house now would let me set up a YouTube studio in that room?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Plays right, left, and center, too. Suck on some of that, Ben Zobrist. You hear what that song is saying? It's saying that we don't NEED you.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 It's worth noting that we are in the Golden Age of Ty. batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Tylers don't count. Neither does Tyson Ross.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Well, shit, there goes the golden age.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 I'm sorry. Somedays, I just can't help myself.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Ty Tyson?Did his parents have Tourette's?Or just a stutter?Later
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Ty Kelly talks eating, dating, music, minor league life styling, and plays a game of Two Nicklebacks and a Creed.Heckuva deadpanner.[youtube:33v30172]b38nB7gBhiQ[/youtube:33v30172]
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Statistically, looks a little like Justin Turner with more walks and a smidgen less pop.Musically, looks like the guy from Nickelback (funnily enough), minus electricity and terrible hooks.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 The biggest wonder that I take away from this is, wow, Ty Wigginton had 1,170 major league hits.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 That and "Jesus, ball caps do nasty things to white-dude hairlines."
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 I think they're pretty funny for guys dealing with the realism that even if they make the bigs, they've spent a long enough time in the minors to look at as a definitive existence in and of itself. The interviewer is Matt Paré of the Giants system. He's done a lot of YouTubing, and isn't above lobbying for more just wages and working conditions for minor leaguers. And he started his own dating site.[youtube:3r54vndi]i0ZAFHWtA3E[/youtube:3r54vndi]
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Kelly does seem exceedingly likable, and not just in a SuperJoeish capacity.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Those vids are funny, but typically are 11% too long.I'm on Team Ty.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 he might get to Vegas. Good luck.

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Seriously. Welcome to 2014 Ty.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 He's been playing both infield and outfield in Spring Training, and doing fairly well (as much as you can tell from box scores). That versatility might just get him a spot on the major league team at some point of the season. He seems like a good kid. I'll be rooting for him to make it.Later
