Mattingly said Ethier was screaming because he was mad about a bad call. Mattingly tried to calm him down "I tried to calm him down, I didn't want him thrown out of the game. maybe he yelled at me a bit for trying to calm him down"

There's another Ripken speculating that Ethier may have been mad that Mattingly wasn't helping/protecting by arguing with the ump himself.

Sorry I missed the IGT thread with youse all last night.

It was a thriller of a game that I watched from my couch as I bit my fingernails down to bloody stumps.

I'm happy for all of us. Every time I've caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror over the past 12 hours, I've had a huge grin.
