Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Sounds like Met fans are financing a new left-handed reliever for the Phils. They've packed the place.Oh, and... RUN, CESPEDES!

Those guys, Larry Andersen in particular, are DICKS.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 d'Arnaud with the knock! Thirteen fucking runs!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 And 11 unanswered after they were down 7-2.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 If this game ever actually gets around to ending, I think we're going to like the result.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Howie and Josh expect Muffy will take one in the ribs next time up.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Tonight's most fascinating person behind home plate is Fabulously Pregnant Lady.Motown Dancing Girl in front of her is OK in my book also.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 lol at Gary. "The Mets kick the extra point"

She's mind kind of date. Forty weeks in and she's still going to ballgames.Loewen was a minor league Met for a bit, I believe. I also think he was a two-way player.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 See that, kids? Run to first base when you put it in play! This has been brought to you by "shit your coach told you when you were 9."
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Rupp has had himself one good but tough night behind the plate.Dude has blocked every piece of shit these Phils pitchers have thrown up there.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Not for nothing, but shouldn't Wright be sitting?

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 I was watching on TiVo delay. I was tempted to give up when the Mets were down 7-2, but "all in" means "all in" so I happily stuck with it. (I did do a bit of fast-forwarding, mainly while the Phillies were hitting.)The only bad news was deGrom's performance. Hopefully it's an anomaly. If not, we're in a bit of trouble. It was nice to see that David Wright can not only still hit homers and field his position, but he can still wipe his nose with his jersey.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 When was the last time you saw a Mets relief pitcher get two at-bats in a regulation game?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Hats off to Gil Martin. If the Mets had their way he wouldn't have pitched at all last night since they were eyeing a potential spot-start or long relief job for Colon Wednesday whose apparently still hurting from the HBP.
