Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 It's been, like, a million hours since it was announced that Johnny Ryall was heading to New York for the Baltimore series. And yet, and yet, and yet, no announcement has been forthcoming with regard to his activation along with a corresponding demotion.I'm calling it. A trade is coming and it involves Plawecki. It'll be announced within two hours, for I have foreseen it.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I'm going injury to Plawecki. right elbow tendinitis. Makes sense that he's here as sorta a Taxi guy and no move has been announced yet because they want to be sure once guys get to the ballpark today.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I'm rooting for Edgy's cause 'trades are FUNNNNN!!!' but Ceet's is probably more boringly accurate.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 I don't know. Monell had a full day off to find his way to San O'Shea. And I'm betting he's been at the park for about 10 hours. He's a New Yorker. He's probably already lined up a bunch of comps for his family.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I'm going with a minor trade and/or DFA involving Recker. They haven't announced yet because they're still trying to work something out that will prevent a flat DFA.No way they're dealing Plawecki having barely taken him for a test drive and with d'Arnaud out for probably another month.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 The Mets have posted "get to know Kevin Plawecki" articles on facebook and twitter in the last few hours, so while an injury is certainly possible, thats a pretty big "whoops" if they traded him.

Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Campbell down, Monell to wear #19 per Mets

Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 nah, it's not like Recker is special. They'd have just DL'd him.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I like this third catcher idea, especially when the third catcher is probably juicing.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 How utterly baseless baseless speculation turns out to be.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 Still waiting on a move to clear room on the 40. The simplest move may be to transfer Blevins the 60-Day DL.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 Yes, indeed, as said above. But unless they are also DFA'ing him, they'll need to execute another move in order to make room on the 40-man roster.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 6, 2015 Author Posted May 6, 2015 Passed through waivers but was found to have a stress fracture in his back (!!). The waivers were cancelled as he was determined to have been injured beforehand and you can't be removed from the roster during the season while injured. He remained on the roster and was placed on the 15-day DL, and now transferred to the 60-day, where he won't count against the roster limit. He hasn't yet appeared in a game, so his DL time is backdated to his last appearance in a spring training game.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 I see. It's too bad about Puello. I once had really high hopes for him.
