Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Niese opposes Eric who I remember skunking us in what was his/ looks it up..../ 2nd MLB appearance with the Dodgers in '06.Career he's 3-1, 2.48 in 6 career starts against us.Guess we'll see Lagares lead off. I think the Mets have a lineup that could murder middling lefties if they want to.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 I'm glad they're not benching Duda outright against lefties, but here's hoping Mayberry makes him fight to stay in the lineup against them. I imagine Mayberry starts against three out of four lefties right now, taking two of those games from Duda and one from Granderson. But pretty soon they may be looking for at-bats for Campbell too.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Oh, I'm thinking it's a let's-get-him-in-there-to-destroy-somebody kind of way.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Neither Wood (going Sunday) or Stults look to have real big platoon splits so I guess it's, whatever.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 You understand that in MASK there was all kinds of makeup and prosthetics, but Eric Stults doesn't look anything like he did back in SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL or MEMPHIS BELLE either.Nice that he found a second career though.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 I drink to Terry and his nutty-assed lineups.Less obvious than Mayberry batting third, but still notable, is keeping Tejada on the bench for Niese's first start.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 That's Chris Johnson in the Braves lineup, as opposed to Kelly -- which makes sense vs Niese seeing as how Kelly hits LH
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 This game is already irritating. Call up Matz and Reynolds.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Ugh. Not the most promising of beginnings.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Do the people at Lee's Toyota think they're going to sell a lot of cars to Met fans by using a cute girl in a Yankee uniform as their spokesperson?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 I feel like Flores is gonna get a hold of one.

Well next to Hillside Honda girl.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Aw Jeez. Crappy Niese and yippy Flores are a bad combination.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Niese looks more like some creaky veteran just hanging on than a midcareer midlevel starter. It's like he aged 8 years. His delivery has really changed.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Funk Mayberry killed that ball.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Granderson's walked five times now this season and has scored after three of them. And four of those walks came on full counts and I know at least two, and maybe three, of them started with him down 0-2Not that I don't want him to start hitting one of these days, but it's a decent sign and I'll take what we can get here.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Muffy looks awful at the dish so far.
