How about a little love for Motown and the Detroit Tigers! The Mets won a World Series more recently, with Tigers not winning a World Series since the Bless You Boys team of 1984. It's our turn!!

Now all they need is a closer and a SS

oh, and didn't someone leak nudes of them both recently or something?

I'm down with the Tigers though. Feel like they've been "almost" there a couple of times.

the only negative is them not slapping the Cardinals around in '06.

With Oakland out of it, I'll pull for the Tigers. My boss, who has been very good to me, is a lifelong Tiger fan, and I have nothing else to go with at this point.

Welcome aboard the bandwagon, MF!!! It's a good place to be! Is your boss a former Michigander?

No, but his father was a big fan of Hank Greenberg.

Tigers are guilty of making me annoyed at them for being a team so easy to beat that the Mets could easily have been 2006 World Champions.

A pox on them and their 90% downtown residential occupancy rate.

Tell me about it. I had tickets to Game One of the series!

Ninety percent! That's impressive. We've reversed 60 years of decline by facing our persistent problems, restoring vital services for residents and protecting the city's jewels such as the Detroit Art Institute and Belle Isle -- Michigan's newest state park.

Lady Liberty officially is on board. Join us!

Royals have actually won the World Series more recently! Tigers in 1984, Royals in 1985.

That was the epic I-70 series against the Cardinals. I was going to Mizzou at the time, and Columbia is right smack in the middle of the state. it was pretty intense.

I already like this better than 'Eye of the Tiger'

Also, how many 61 year olds are looking as good as George Brett these days?
I bet he can still hit.

Looks like this good-time Buc revue just reached its closing numb-arrrr.

That Crawford slam-- I'm not sure when I last heard a crowd as quiet in an instant, outside of Game 7, '06.
