The empty car wash was all kinds of awesome. And Duda high-fiving imaginary teammates was even better.

Where was everybody? I missed that part.

Oh, but they stay in the dugout for Tejada?

Let deGrom finish the game.

First, lose the lead, put deGrom in, and then get the lead back again and get him that win.

The whole dugout cleared down the tunnel to bust his chops. And he played along perfectly.

Whatever.

It looks like we root for a second place team.

With this seasons expectations, I'll take that. Next year is another story.

I'm already getting cocky,lol.

They hid in the tunnel. Only ones I saw in the dugout were Lamar Johnson and Wally Backman, though Gary said Murphy was there to greet him. He ran past murphy to an empty dugout, so Lamar and Wally halfhearted waved towels and he ran the full length anyhow.

It was kinda creepy in it's own way.

Well, Mejia needs to get that first part done.

Yea, the fake hand slapping made it classic. The pointing to his folks makes it extra special. And the 30 thing.

It just seems like yesterday that the Mets were blowing the lead against Washington on Opening Day. Here's to an off-season that brings us a power hitting corner OF'er.

Here's the "thank you" video. A few funny things in there.

(Too bad the fake backdrop for Harvey wasn't MSG or MFYS.)

Well done. Recker looks like an elf or something.

I was there with the Sage clan; a nice day was had by all. We were in section 327 (3b side, mezz) in the "Caesar" section. I like those Caesar seats. close enough to watch, far enough to be affordable. But a side note: the last row of the mezz is still a limited view, with the overhang blocking the scoreboard. But it doesn't limit view of the game, which is much better than Shea, where the Rear Loge view was like watching the game through a mail slot and every flyball was a mystery. Foodwise, i tried a veggie burger so as not to provoke my acid reflux, but there must've been plenty of processed crap in there because it still burned like i'd eaten a hot dog. So i might as well have.

The game offered a nice goodbye for Abreu; and the 30hr/90rbi season for Duda ends up the only positive offensive accomplishment this year. Colon's 200ip/15w season for a sub .500 team should make his value high enough to get something for him this off-season. Unfortunately, Murphy's return to Earth down the stretch probably lessens his value.
