I'm encouraged by the Mets not-losingness so far. Last year Wheeler would be out of the box in the 3rd.

Sure is nice to see them out-executing someone.

Do we have 3 or 4 games against them this series?

3 this week, 3 more in NYC next week.
Then 7 more in September.

Thank you. Especially for the additional info. Hey, we are still in this thing!
I haven't looked at the standings for a week, so don't mind me.

OOOO, big DP!!

Another amazing catch by Lagares, even for him!

I've said this before but I try to be hyper aware of all triple play situations. This after missing a TP that Piazza hit into during a game at the Vet I saw live years ago. Belive that met fairy and at least one other forum character was at.

Ouch Lagares. Thought it was his knee at first.

Wow. You saw a triple play live? That's pretty damn awesome.

I did and I didn't. Was a hard smash to 3rd that to the naked eye looked just like a double play. I wasn't paying attention and assumed that's what I saw. Rarer still, Rey Ordonez hit a homer that night, iirc.

I saw Barry Bonds run himself into a triple play at Shea one time.
1st & 3rd (Bonds on 3rd), a double-play ball is hit but for some reason Barry didn't run immediately (wrong dosage perhaps).
So as the ball is being whipped around towards 1st he breaks for the plate and is thrown out
6-4-3-2 (or something like that).

I think that was the only one I saw live, but maybe not.
My softball team turned several over the years though.

You too? Sheesh. I have a baseball bucket list and I thought I was all done, but a triple play was never on it. I'm starting a new list.

The runner-hit-by-batted-ball play saves the SHaMs season.

Dana Eveland is the New Elmer Dessens.
