I'll be the first to admit that Vegas stats, like casino chips, are sadly redeemable for absolutely nothing if you try to cash them in in New York, but, also stating the obvious, reading about Travis on a roll sure beats reading about him crapping out.

Yeah. although I think it took him a couple of days to get started.

He also was very good upon his promotion after that too, although struggled with power, though supposedly he had an oblique injury that whole time.

Ike tore it up when he came back up, too. It just wasn't so memorable, because most of his tearing came in the form of ObP, rather than long-range bombs. He went .286 / .449 / .505 // .954 in 40 games before getting hurt at the end of August.

He led the league in second-half OBP, for what that's worth.

I'm telling you, it wouldn't cost nuttin' to get his brother on the payroll. We probably could have asked him to be thrown in on the Byrd/Buck or Davis deals, and Pittsburgh would have scarcely blinked. Maybe we'd have to give up Quintanilla (or less), but I've got imaginary piles of fake research here demonstrating that having a brother on the team takes the pressure off, and makes it feel like Little League all over again.
