Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Travis d'Arnaud since his demotion:G: 11PA: 47BA: .432OBP: .479SLG: .977OpS: 1.456HR: 6RBI: 15BB: 3SO: 3I'm not greedy. I'd be happy with six homers and 15 RBI in his 39 games with the Mets this year.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 I will point out the obvious that there is a big difference between NY and Vegas. Only solution that I see is that we need more strippers here in NY.

Only solution that I see is that we need more strippers here in NY.I think there are a fair amount of strippers. Now hookers? Casinos? (7 more years) Hash House A GoGos? electric chairs?Michael Jackson impersonators on the stage in front of the Blackjack table?https://plus.google.com/photos/105761063293854277199/albums/5713306499410632945/5713325132324156402?banner=pwa&authkey=CPSqpL-F3_HbZQ&pid=5713325132324156402&oid=105761063293854277199wait, I think i've strayed from the topic. Woo! Travis!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 I'll be the first to admit that Vegas stats, like casino chips, are sadly redeemable for absolutely nothing if you try to cash them in in New York, but, also stating the obvious, reading about Travis on a roll sure beats reading about him crapping out.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Didn't Ike tear it up when he was sent down last season?

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 Ike tore it up when he came back up, too. It just wasn't so memorable, because most of his tearing came in the form of ObP, rather than long-range bombs. He went .286 / .449 / .505 // .954 in 40 games before getting hurt at the end of August. He led the league in second-half OBP, for what that's worth.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Then I wish the same for Travis!
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 I mean, it's Vegas. But it's also not entirely Vegas.Hell, if he just ripped up the AAAA types while playing defense, that would be workable on this team.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Teagarden looked very d'Arnaudish hitting a slow grounder to first base with 2nd and 3rd and 1 out last night, I'll tellya.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 I'm telling you, it wouldn't cost nuttin' to get his brother on the payroll. We probably could have asked him to be thrown in on the Byrd/Buck or Davis deals, and Pittsburgh would have scarcely blinked. Maybe we'd have to give up Quintanilla (or less), but I've got imaginary piles of fake research here demonstrating that having a brother on the team takes the pressure off, and makes it feel like Little League all over again.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 I guess it depends which brotherhttp://www.baseball-reference.com/players/u/uptonbj01.shtml

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I don't think Mike Glavine helped Tom much.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 24, 2014 Author Posted June 24, 2014 d'Arnaud activated and in the lineup. Teagarden to the DL with a hamstrain. If you had that outcome in Transaction Bingo, please step forward and collect your prize.
