Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 It worked out. He was due up in the bottom of the 8th anyway so he was just about out of time to play.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Good news: it worked.Another interesting part of that move is that he switched out the next-to-last batter of the inning (Brown) instead of the last one (Wilmer). They're sticking with the hitter over the fielder at short in a tight game.

This was Niese's game. He knew he'd be out after 8. I'd have gone out and asked him. Can you get this guy this time? I'd like to think Jon is now mature enough to be honest. And if he wanted to stay in, he should have been given that confidence. That kind of support. They aren't supporting him at the plate, that's for sure.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Another ND for Niese. Who on earth would want to be a starting pitcher on the Mets?Okay, my frustration is vented. Back to being happy

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 MLB.TV is letting me see the studio feed. When they cut to Bobby O. They usually don't, the bastages.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 It's part of the limited-commercial broadcast. I'm kinda frustrated to finally see behind the curtain, too, knowing that I have to go back tomorrow.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 I guess I'm in a bad mood tonight. I didn't realize it until I watched the Mets for 3 innings.I don't hold it against Familia that he was inserted. GJ Jeurys.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Good to see Wright might get a few swings against a lefty. Soupy too, looks like.

I don't think we could get SNY where we are even if we wanted it. Comcast has this MLB package. Can't choose the Met home broadcast thou. Fuck that.I tried to get the game on the radio earlier and I'm very disappointed in the reception down here in SJ.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Great AB Lucas. CYoung. Make me like you.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Well, that's something.I disagree that it saved the game, though. Getting Lucas home from first ain't that easy.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Contributing to a game does net you points.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 If this is gonna go 22 innings I better make me a snack.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 We need Darryl to suit up and hit one into a clock.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Wounded Grandy and Taylor Teagarden left on the bench.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Weeks was fatter when we played the Brews last year.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Can't believe somebody intentionally came in on Recker. He's been trying to pull the slider away all night.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 He hit a clock too, didn't he? I couldn't find a .gif of that. Internet, you've let me down *sob*

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Mets have the sweetest little girl in the world sitting down the third-base line.
