Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Appealing his five-game suspension.Appeals board should review the tapes and decide to change the suspension to 10.Of course, Jordany is somewhere asking, "Throw the bat at the thirdbaseman... why didn't I think of that?"
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 He should receive an extra 10 games for Worst Acting Performance... NOBODY was fooled by his attempt to pretend the bat slipped out of his hands.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Twas a real punk ass move. You prolly saw he previously took exception to being tagged hard between the bases by Donaldson.Likely also pissed about sucking so much this year.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 I suspect the sucking had much to do with it!
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Like we all haven't wanted to throw a bat at Alberto Callaspo at some point in our lives.

For those who missed it - Machado was essentially trying to dodge a tag between 2nd & 3rd so when his impromptu dance move put himself off balance it led to a medium-light tap on the chest being enough to knock him over. That he managed to spike his helmet to show his outrage before even hitting the ground pretty much lends credence to the pissed-at-himself theory.Machado should just say 'No Mas' at this point and take his five games. Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 I find it amazing that his half apology invoked bringing back the Oriole Way. If there ever truly was such a thing, it's been gone since well before he was born.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 I kinda feel like he was just embarrassed when he fell over on that 'hard tag' and made it about Donaldson instead. I'm sure he was pissed they threw towards his knees in the second incident, seeing as how he'd just come back from a huge knee injury, but jeez don't be a dick, man, and none of this happens.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 also there's the small matter of him hitting the catcher with his follow through and not giving a flying fuck about it. Honestly I know he's a kid but that kind of stuff really has to be more then 5 games. That's the equivalent of a 1 game ban in football, (real football) and jesus you get that for getting 2 yellow cards.
