What we could really use is a shortstop who can hit.

Lagares is in center, so let fans all be attentive
Murphy is at second, where he muffs, but is inventive
Wright of course, is there at third, his arm be like a cannon
Granderson plays right because we paid him lots of mammon
Young's in left, no not that Young this one is the other
Duda plays at first because we banished Ike, his brother
Recker catches day games and he gives me palpitations
Tejada plays at short despite the fan base protestations
Wheeler deals today I hope he soars to his potential
Something 'bout a Mets day game is just so quintessential

This has made the reading of the IGT most bearable, thank you Edge.

I already know how it ends and I'm peeking at early innings. Not gonna waste too much time on this one.

Another 9th inning loss. Very frustrating.

I've watched a number of Wheelers innings now. Man, he was snappin' it.

Ugh, another waste of a great starting effort.

Eric is the Met guy you want when you need score only one.

I wasn't knocking him. I meant that one run would have kept 'em in that game, and Eric is the sort of small-ball guy that takes you a long way toward getting that one run, if robbing you of some of your three-run homer potential.

Matters not...injuries are part of the game, right?
