Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 And that'll be all for Mr. Kimbrel
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Bases juiced, one out to play with. Didn't expect drama.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Nice, the walk knocks out Kimbrel. Bases all befuddled with blue bums.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 will he take it the other way as Ron was praising him for in RBI situations?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Get a hit here and I'll consider you a real Met d'.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 (edited) I think Walden should be called for three straight balks on account of that silly jump-move and we'll win the game that way. Edited April 19, 2014 by Guest
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 GAH! It all goes back to that foul ball off FknFrdyFrmnsFknFoot.I protest this game!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 If it helps any the Yanx just lost 16-1 in Tampa

Could Collins have called for a review that showed he was not in contact with the rubber when he released the ball? A pitcher does have to keep contact with the rubber until the ball leaves his hand, no? Could something like that even be reviewed? Because its technically not "a play".

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Y'know what really suxx (aside from the Met offense and their bullpen I mean)? Getting two runs off of Kimbrel (and potentially more had he not been pulled) during what was probably the only time we'll ever see him with a four run lead. A closer facing seven hitters while retiring just two is rare enough (particularly with him) and is almost always sufficient to hang a 'Blown Save' on his ass. But because this was a sort of rehab appearance for Kimbrel he was in with the extra cushion on the one night he actually needed it.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 I was at this game and this is my first time in front of a computer since then.I was dismayed to see Valverde take the mound in the top of the 9th. I fully expected to see Matsuzaka get a second inning.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 I read a miserable 45 year-old on my Facebook feed declare in the ninth: "Valverde IS Benitez. Granderson IS Bay."And this was in my Easter thread. We would be the luckiest team in the world if Valverde is Benitez.
